PlanetCricket from WCL 4 - WC 6th Match

You can change everything apart from the 2 openers. And they have been bowled out meaning that will be the end of Day 3. Did you want to enforce the follow on?

The whole second session has been washed out. Fiji are desperately looking for clear skies.

hedger_14 added 0 Minutes and 49 Seconds later...

They end up going back on at 5:54 pm. It's going to need a magical bowling performance to win this in just over half an hour.

hedger_14 added 0 Minutes and 56 Seconds later...

Haarithan strikes in his first over. 5/1 1.2 overs in. 5:59 pm.

Some magic from Jono in his first over who was brought on early now gives Fiji 15 minutes to take 6 wickets. Jono with 2/0 off 1 over and a dropped catch was in it as well. So it will be about 5 overs to take 6 wickets.

hedger_14 added 2 Minutes and 38 Seconds later...

This is so close. 3 more wickets, all from Haarithan has Uganda at 26/7 with probably 2 overs to play with the time at 6:27 pm. How will this match turn out.

Jono strikes first ball of the next over to take his 3rd wicket. 26/8 after 8.1 overs.

Jono strikes again 2 balls later and now this is going to be close. Jono now has 4/2 in the innings off 2.3 overs.

Unbelievable. The players are going off at the umpire after turning down 2 LBW appeals in a row which has cost Fiji the match. The second one sounded like it hit bat pad but the first was plumb. So Uganda finish the final day at 26/9, Fiji going agonizingly close to victory.

7 wickets and 2 runs :laugh

Varun Rustagi will also miss the next match but will definately be back for the final FC match against Bermuda.

What's my bowling average for this tournament? 1?

that's a good knock. 62 is the best I made so far, and we should have won the game.

This rain is really pissing me off, that now gives me another reason to prefer ICC over CC. :laugh

Does playing in Fiji have a lot to do with it? (Tropical)
Or is it the same conditions no matter what the ground?

Doesn't matter what the ground is, I think. Like last time I did use an associate nation, I think all but one match ended in a draw in a season due to all the rain. I think playing in January might have something to do with it (Winter in northern hemisphere and I would guess the default setting for associate nations grounds).

sad to see us draw, but it doesn't really matter; the bowlers did a great job to even get us that close to victory. hopefully it doesn't rain this much when we play canada.
