Review Playtest Review/Preview(Review Links, Updated in First Post)

las_faiz, your posts are nonsensical, and you are yet to raise a point worth discussing, let alone one which hasn't been discussed ad nauseam on this forum already.

That is all.

Ok mate. You must be the smartest one around here

I love how everyone is getting cranky and irritable in anticipation off this games release. We are worse than teenage girls!

Hey mods just a suggestion: Why not start a Bet in vbookie section for the release date of the game. Dates can be varied like this : 3rd-5 July,6-8th july.9th-11th july and so on. Bookie can earn a lot from this...

Exactly how it is. Can't wait at all.

I think that probably doesn't do favours for Codies since our expectations get too high due to the wait.

Some of the stupidest ████ I've read.

Yeah Max you do come out with a lot of crap. Seriously, a games release should not bother you this much.

Just to mention, to those who went to the UK test, now the official announcement has been made you are free to discuss what you saw of the Wii version.

Did that actually make the ball swing? Or is it just a gimmick?

Thank you very much for these great reviews by all of the testers, however, there is still one thing that has me perplexed. I remember reading that the gamer uses one analog stick to determine whether the shot will be on the back or the front foot and the other analog stick for shot placement. In addition, X, O and square determine if the shot is defensive or attacking. If this is correct it would be almost impossible to press all of the correct controls at the same time.

I know I have gone wrong here somewhere and please may someone shed some light on the situation.

Thanks

The left triggers do front-foot/back-foot, the right stick is used for moving the batsman left/right on the crease.

Might be a touch more difficult to press it all on PS3 though with the location of the analogue sticks compared to the 360.

I think it swings and spins more. Also, like in Wii Bowling (the ten-pin variety, not cricket), you create swing and spin by gesturing with the remote. The amount of spin you can get is absurd if you flick your wrist loads. I'm talking from a yard outside leg stump to a foot outside off.

The game is just a bit of a laugh, mind, and not a simulation by any stretch of the imagination. I didn't play it, but the guys who did really enjoyed it. This was only in the times when they managed to prize Jamie off it! He really seemed to like it!

Who knows? Maybe. But the guys who did the preview for blic 2007 were seriously smoking some good sh*t
BTW reviews are what you input when you test out the finished version and I don't think these guys did. So think twice before telling people "Full Review"

Codies have given a good reason from last time why I shouldn't be hyped up about their cricket game.
If you want to live in a dream world then be my guest.

You really are a bit slow on the uptake, aren't you.

It's not a dream world when PC guys have been there, played it and said that it's very good, albeit with a couple of things that need sorting out. Hey, if you want to be pessimistic about things when there's no reason to, then you be my guest.

As for the rest of us, we'll look forwards to news of the official release date.

Umm, he is, actually.
