Pokemon? Mafia - Endgame | Town (BKB1991/P Squared) wins!

Don't have time to read much, so can anyone please tell me that how did I die?

What a game! All 3 fractions played extremely well. Congrats to P_Squared and BKB :clap And AfridiRulz didn't play too bad a game either. Would've won if BKB hadn't protected P_squared.

And Well done Varun. A fanatstic game :thumbs

Papa_Smurf has a surprise for Zorax I think. :p

Yeah, I do.

Night 2 -
- Papa_Smurf didn't protect Zorax.

Surprise :p

Zorax is a complete ignorant idiot. He doesn't see Chewie is clearly the mafia?!

ARE PEOPLE THAT DUMB IN THIS GAME?!!?!?!

hahaha wow. Make yourself look really clever.

Ha ha, why?

I was the mafia doctor. What the mafia didn't know was that I was also the Usurper. I wouldn't have been able to win the game if Zorax was alive at the end. My first thoughts were that this woud be fun, but not too hard as I could cause suspicion to him near the end of the game. That was until he revealed to us that he had a one-time immunity to any type of kill. My task just got a little bit harder.

Anyways, I was contemplating my moves when the perfect oppurtunity presented itself. There was no kill during the Night, and simsanta (the mafia roleblocker) had 5 lynches on him. I could kill 3 birds with one stone if I played my cards correctly - get rid of Zorax's immunity, gain the town's trust and Zorax's trust. My move would have the added benefit of removing suspcion from simsanta (for the time being) and Zorax gaining the town's trust if I failed.

I claimed Haunter because he was the only one who came to mind who would fit the bill of a role-blocker and wouldn't be in the game. I had a strong suspcion Gengar would be in the game, which is why I didn't claim as him.

"But surely the town role-blocker would've counter-claimed against you?" Yes, I was worried about this, but I honestly thought it would've been Vedarshi. Butterfree with sleep-powder and stun-spore etc would've made a logical candidate. And I knew I could counter Vedarshi.

OK, so that brought the suspcion on Zorax. Next, I had to convince Zorax to go along with it. Easily done, as all I had to point-out was the potential benefit to the mafia the move would've had. With him on-board, he deliberatley put up a weak defence and the lynch went ahead.

Now with Zorax's immunity gone, I had to entice the vigilante to go after Zorax. I assured Zorax I would protect him (fat chance :p). What I wasn't counting on was Hedger missing, and going for someone else anyway :facepalm

As to why I didn't protect anyone else, I had to come up with an explanation for the town as to why there was a townie-death. As you know, I claimed that I was role-blocked. What I was hoping was that the tracker (Yudi) would've tracked me and vouched for me, as I wasn't seen around anyone (in essence, roleblocked). And with Zorax confimed as Mewtwo and dead, I would've been a trusted townie.

And when that failed, I resorted to desperation by Day 3. Almost worked as well.

We were majorly lucky in getting the mafia in consecutive days tbh. Truth is I feel massively lucky to win the game considering my Pokemon knowledge. Maybe thats why the mafia kept me alive.

Smurf was always going to die imo, after going so openly against Zorax who's unlynchable move confused me. I saw the less vote thing, but then It was unlikely I was going to get a majority against Zorax anyways in the end. Plus I played mafia with Zorax so I kinda knew his gameplay, and realized If I was with him openly, I might have the chance to survive longer.

Aditya's lynching made sense, he was linked by two then dead members, plus his weak defence helped. Simsanta in all fairness got a bit unlucky being inactive but I think you can counter it with him missing the important discussions on when the mafia was under the radar. Before MaD came out in the open, I had null reading on Chewie and MaD, and personally was sure one of them was mafia, and even tried roleblocking MaD and investigating Chewie on night 5, but forgot I couldnt use both roles in a night. I used the former, but thankfully p-number stopped me. So when MaD came out against Chewie, I was happy to play along, I had no clue on his alignment.

Yea I agree there was a moment of madness in the lynching of Verdarshi, It was either him or AfridiRulez for me at that time, and Psquared hammered Verdarshi before we could question Afridi.

haha, now that was a twist that would have made the game interesting..

Wow, that was brilliant! Also, I was the town role blocker damn ti. I should have counter claimed. But, that would have made me sacrifice myself in the quest of countering you. I hence decided to wait. But, the night was all over and you guys killed me.

I'm glad you didn't :p

But yeah, I knew my move was extremley risky. But you know what they say, high risk means high reward.

Plus, playing it risky is a lot more fun :)

Hehe, I successfully played you and the town on Day 2 :p Quite proud of that. Being a scheming Meowth really brings out the criminal mastermind inside of you ;)
