Poor Marketing/Release on PS4/xbox1?

i'll say this... i don't think it's poor, because obviously they've had a big job on their hands, but i do find it odd that retailers still don't know when they'll receive it maybe 2 weeks from "go time". what was done for the 26 Dec date? given that was only knocked on the head at the last minute, and was supposedly "possible" up until very late in the day, weren't a lot of logistics already taken care of?

It's the three month period between the announcement that the release wouldn't be in 2013 (made mid-December if I remember correctly) and now that confuses me. If a Boxing day release nearly happened then surely talks must have been at advanced stages and must have happened at a fair rate of knots (as Ashes was only canned a few weeks earlier), which poses the question what has been happening in the last three months? Surely it would always make sense the get the deals done as soon as possible, then there's plenty of room for manoeuvre re: the release date, rather than scrabbling around at the last minute.

This is the part which has confused me. Apparently the call was made at the last minute not to proceed with the release on boxing day. That would mean some sort of understanding was reached with retailers and distributors but this wasn't the case.

Once Ashes failed the numbers all changed as did the deals distributors were willing to offer. We hoped for a Boxing Day release but we failed to get everything we needed for that to occur. I am not permitted to go into detail as to what has happened since.

It will not be long before the game is in your hands.

We sure hope so Ross as it's taken a long time coming. Hopefully another 3 weeks and we have the game in our hands.

Yep, I know, I'm getting pretty antsy myself with the wait. But once the game is out, I'll forget about the wait and just play, play, play.

If the publishing is THAT bad, just don't buy it.

Easy.

I don't think you know the meaning of dissent...

Well that sentence said that they are not showing any dissent over this issue and the meaning of dissent is: the expression or holding of opinions at variance with those previously, commonly, or officially held

So I am pretty sure it has been used correctly but I think its my fault because I didn't provide the definition along with the sentence as I thought most people here are fluent in English. My bad...I will provide definitions from now on. (ohhh and my bad means my fault in USA, I thought I should mention it or else you would complain that I don't know the meaning of "bad")

Well leave that up to me. By the way do you speak English at all? Don't you think it makes sense that I've been all over this bad publishing issue because I am desperate to get the game in my hand as soon as possible? How can you suggest not buying a game will solve my problem??? You ever heard of something called LOGIC? You should make use of it sometimes (if you know how to).

And you'll end up making a grossly misinformed decision because you simply can't comprehend the facts in a mature and objective manner.

I've used the facts that YOU provided about the publisher. So what are you trying to say here?

Well today my point of poor publishing is proved. You mentioned games were released in either 25 days or 22 days after being announced but DBC14 has gone beyond that. Now we only have 21 days left in this month and the game is suppose to release by the end of the month. Very poor publishing by the publisher and also very poor show by the developer for now showing any dissent over this issue. They obviously don't care about checking on their product with their publisher as to why this is the case. I only got two words at the moment...VERY POOR.:mad

Here I think you might want to read this post again...with a translator this time who understands English well.:p

Round and round the merry circle of stupidity we go. Mega, we're all in the other thread celebrating the game... Let us know when you get a clue and come join us.

And you hilariously misinterpreted them. Those two examples were two of their most recent sports releases. They have other games as well, which I'm sure you are completely unaware of, as you seem to be unaware of most of the information surrounding the game and the companies involved. I genuinely can't believe you took the '22 days' and '25 days' as some hard and fast rule they have to stick by. They're examples of short turnaround times.

Is that reasonable given the evidence of previous Tru Blu releases being announced with a range of five to two weeks?

Given the history of Tru Blu, this is not out of the ordinary. It works for them. You need to understand this.

Keep resorting to personal attacks..its working well for you so far.
