Okay, at first I was a little worried about getting banned in a day but I haven't had any infractions yet. What I've found is, you can crack the odd joke but make it a one liner, and make the rest of your post count.

There is a gradual improvement in the download forum. Perhaps an an immediate PM of the infractions rules to every new member is in order?

When some old or popular member posts something stupid it is considered funny but the same if posted by new member or not a popular member will be considered rubbish and spam.

That's a fair point. I post quite a few one-liners, I find them funny when I post them, does anyone else find them funny? Who can tell. Perhaps the only way to find out is if I get a few infractions.

I can only speak for myself, which doesn't count for much as I'm not a mod, but I wouldn't consider a one-liner as spam if I found it genuinely funny no matter who posted it. I trust that the staff are good enough to show the same amount of common sense. Having said that, it is a fine line you walk if you act the clown all the time without bringing something to the forum.

My point wasn't really how funny my posts are, If I get infractions then so be it, it wont change me. I hope I bring something to the forum, not as much as I used to I admit, but then my taste for cricket gaming has dropped somewhat. My point was more that I feel the staff are mature enough to know where to draw the line (or at least I hope they are!!!!!!!) I can honestly say that new members wont be penalised by this system because the staff here do their best to uphold the quality of the site, they wont always be correct (hell, even I wasn't always correct) but everyone makes the odd mistake but I am certain they have the best interests of the site at heart.

We aren't going to turn this into a Stalag, if that's what you are fearing.

We won't be taking all the fun out of this, we may be harder on some issues, or just generally. But don't be scared into thinking that one-liners will see you given infractions. It may be different if all you posted was one-liners. Also it depends on the context of one-liners. If it doesn't make sense, or comes from an MSN convo which only a handful of people will understand, then it is likely to be considered spam. We will still use our noggins.

Basically the sort of jokes that are allowed are the ones that aren't too risqué. Which is why i'm no gonna make any naugthy sex jokes anymore. I've learned my lesson. It'll be fine; i've hired Charlotte Church to scare off temptation.

Im a very one liner person and being on mod preview and this infraction thing I cant say many jokes. I come here for a little fun and a laugh. Not for someone snooping on my posts and giving me infractions for General spam. Ive had enough honestly.

This post might disprove that im a one line person.

Can I ask what happens if I report a post and then what is done by mods/admins/globbies about it?

Well then you can go links > your post reports and then it will say closed for the majority of the time with a comment by a moderator saying what they've done about the problem. I've only ever had one other thing than closed and that was under investigation or something. Although, as I said it's usually just closed with a comment.

I should know, I'm a frequent user of it.

The system is good, those who are scared of getting points and what not, just go about your posting with a small thought to other people reading them and you should be fine Its not like a Hitler regime! Or, is that maybe what Zim is going for?

If your asking for a general opinion, then i'd say you're fine. I've not seen too much of you on the forums as of yet but your posts are perfectly readable and have context in them.:cool:
