What caused Matt to step down as Admin or is it something else?
The idea wasn't good at all. What good is going to come by complaining about the English of other users? You can hardly help it if they don't speak English as a first language and if the education in said country is crap. Seriously, Asia teaches great Science and Math, but horrible English.
If you do want to change that, maybe open up a sub-section on the forums dedicated to helping members improve their English. All you native speakers can have little tutorials and tips and hand out advice to the non-native speakers.
And sense of humour varies drastically in culture too, and it doesn't help that a lot of the jokes they crack lose all their humour in translation from Hindi/Urdu to English. They are much funnier in the native language.
Simon, how about the 'Smash your own stumps' thing? :laugh
Jesus, the amount of times you've argued this point is ridiculous!
Yes there are people from other countries out there who don't speak English as a first language, but its not up to the native speakers to help, is it? I mean, I understand that after a period of time their English gets a lot better, there are numerous members I could say which have improved ten-fold, but I wont.
At the end of the day, Blake's decision, he paid the consequences. Arguing about the lack of proper English I can deal with, and level with to a certain point. Being openly racist, whether it be in person or on a forum, is a huge huge step over the line for me, and most people.
Best thing to do now is move on, forget it, and wait for the next one
And to aid the change of topic, lets talk about how great I am I mean, Blake did have me down to a tee in his rant.
I love curry. Chicken Pakora followed by a chicken pasanda with pilau rice and a naan bread from my local takeaway is my idea of the perfect meal. Plus the Indian's who run it are total legends, love bantering with them on why England are better then India at cricket
Ironic that he called the Indians "curry munching" (Not racist in itself, more an attack on culture) and then complained they don't speak English very well. English as I'm sure most of you know (or have guessed ) was made by the Brits/English (yes it has latin, french etc in it before you start Colin) and we Brits are massive curry lovers. So to use MR Racist's phrase, we are just as bigger "curry munchers" as our Indian and Pakistani friends
OMG, it's amazing, it's the best starter I've ever had with an Indian meal. You'll like Pasanda I'm also into the mild curries, it's quite a nutty and creamy style but I rate it more then a korma, you gotta try it.
I know, who wants to order a carry out and tell the delivery driver he needs to go to Aberdeen then Brighton and anywhere else who feels like a curry?
