Random Thoughts

I reckon you might find something like The IT Crowd quite funny.

Yeah then as Mark said, The Peep Show and try out The IT Crowd and The Office. I wouldn't venture into watching The Inbetweeners as I don't think it would be up your alley.

Have you watched "Dexter"?? If not, then atleast see a pilot episode from a torrent before ordering box-set. Younger audience thinks its boring, but IMO it is really awesome.

anyone remember the show Outside Edge?

about a small village cricket team. Ive only ever managed to find the 1st season, apparently there are 2.

Yeah it's a very British thing to do, have 6 episodes a season. I like it better that way because you don't feel it's an overkill of the show, and you're always left wanting more.

Dr. Pepper added 1 Minutes and 14 Seconds later...

If you really want to watch a show that encapsulates the typical British teenager/young adult's humour, watch Inbetweeners.

He probably won't get it, or find it funny. It's just so teen Brit, which seems to be everything India isn't.

I'd say it's deffo a bit raunchy for conservative tastes. Don't watch it with your parents or little kids but I'm sure he'd appreciate the humor. It's just too funny.

British TV actors have a more relaxed work culture i guess.
almost a 9 month break before starting to film again!

Comedy is very different to drama/general entertainment, though. Besides, I think if some of our series had 12/18 long seasons, they'd be rubbish. Fawlty Towers was only 12 episodes long, but one of the greatest British comedies with a high re-watchable value. It is very British though, but I think it's good that quite a lot of our comedies have finished with ratings as high as they were in earlier seasons and with good quality still showing.
