Same. I've lived in NZ almost all my life so I sound like any other Nzer, except that people actually understand what I'm saying.

Yea, I only speak a little bit of Cantonese and no Mandarin. My folks sent me for Mandarin lessons during the weekends when I was younger. It's a hard language to learn. I just spent the whole time at the back of the class playing my Game Boy.

hahaha I had mandarin classes as well at primary school, picked up nothing at all Though the classes weren't that big so I couldn't not pay attention

The only cantonese I know is a few words here and there that I hear my parents say when they're on the phone talking to their parents and from what I pick up at yum cha.

Kinda wish I learnt some though. Thought about taking a 101 paper in Chinese.

Speaking of adverts , I literally lol each and every time I see that Delhi Daredevil's Coca Cola advert , especially when Venugopal Rao starts that 'Brrrrrrrrrr' .

I'm actually putting an effort in to learn Cantonese now; gonna sign up for proper classes in the summer. It is a bitch of a language though.

I have to say that would be incredibly ironic and amusing.

I don't play cricket but I wish I did. I only started liking cricket when I was about 15, and I still liked tennis so I played that in the summer instead (and I was pretty decent at it too)

I don't think I'd be too bad at cricket though. Got hand eye co-ordination from tennis to bat. And if I bowled it'd probably be off-spin (I've tried wrist-spin and the ball just goes everywhere...) because I kinda know how to do that properly
