arjwiz I think it is grossly unfair with me if my match with Ishaan to be forfeited and I have to play again with the new manager. In any Tournament if one manager is not been able to continue for some reason and the other manager replace him, the norm is the completed matches with the earlier manager need to be counted as a legitimate match, and the new manager should play the remaining matches.
Just for example, if somehow I am not able to continue in this Ranji League for any reason, it would be grossly unfair to discredit my opponents with the efforts they put in their match with me. What about the time I played with @
ishaan at late at night with lots of inconvenience, does it count for nothing?
Even in upcoming UCC League & Caribbean League, if a manager play few matches and could not continue thereafter, the replacement managers needs to start playing from where the last manager left (Talking about completed games). If we start forfeiting completed matches like this, it will be very hard if someone decide before the last round match that he cannot continue any further for valid/invalid reasons, so will you guys consider all his previous completed matches as null & void? It will allow player in the bottom rank to withdraw anytime he wants, and there is no way we can judge if the persons problem is genuine or not. Most importantly, it will mean the player who invested their valuable time in playing that particular manager in a good faith has effectively wasted quite few hours of his life for absolutely NOTHING...
That is not an option - one manager cannot play Ishaan while the rest play someone else. I don't think its grossly unfair, I think it's absolutely fair. You yourself voted for option 2 with that scenario in mind.
IF Ishaan would have played half the tournament, then the situation might have been more complex. We might have then had no option but to bring in another manager to continue, and that manager must be of a similar level as the departing one. Ishaan and Rizzy are obviously at different ends of the spectrum. It would be grossly unfair to the managers who have not played Ishaan if he is replaced with Rizzy only for the upcoming games. Similarly, if Ishaan was the best manager in the world, and you lost convincingly to him, but he is replaced with a manager who can't play, then it would be grossly unfair to you.
I think you're exaggerating when you say that a manager has wasted hours of his life. I don't think anyone has wasted hours of his life when he is playing DBC online and enjoying the game. It's like a friendly game. In every international sport, completed games have gotten struck off the record books or converted into friendlies due to various reasons. There is nothing new to this.
Your game with Ishaan is unfortunately struck off the record books due to his departure. It is unfortunate that you were the one that had the misfortune of scheduling with him, and like I stated earlier, your efforts in scheduling with him are appreciated. However, there is no option but to strike that game off as a friendly.

arjwiz there are two managers who showed interest and we have three teams up for grabs. Why don't we add both of them if all are ok?
I can't rejig the schedule at this stage of the tournament. Organising these test matches are much more difficult that a free-for-all T20 tournament. And I can't modify the excel now.
Why are we talking about bringing in more managers now, when the vote earlier was to not bring in a new manager? We discussed this and democratically chose to continue with one team short.

I quite agree with Solomon, what is the need to finish this league in such a hurry. If all the managers are active 10 Days window should be enough to complete the matches between 02 Managers. Anyway all other leagues beside this one is the same T20 leagues, its quite refreshing to play TEST matches like this.
Lastly, I am OK with whatever decision you guys take regardless of what I feel about it.
I agree that 10 days are enough, but I cannot add more managers and teams at this stage. We can add more managers for a future tournament. We now have the advantage of knowing who the regulars are.
Remember, I inherited this tournament from Ishaan, who did all the registrations and rules. Had I started from scratch, rules would have been different, and would have accounted for many of these scenarios. We were unlucky with Sarvesh and azad who disappeared. With Ishaan now gone, that means 1/3rd of our original nine managers have left. This is an unfortunate situation that hopefully won't happen as much in future tournaments - if it does, then we need to have alternatives in place.
