RIP World Cup Super League 2020-23 (World Cup Qualifier Jun 16 - Jul 9)

This is madness

Look at this ICC! THIS IS WHAT YOU COULD'VE HAD AT THE WORLD CUP.
Actually, I disagree. Here the Associates are really giving their 200% in order to appear at the CWC. At the CWC though, they often get out done by the other teams. You don't necessarily see such exciting games in the 50 over World Cup.

My above thoughts do not mean that I support a 10 team event. I'd rather see a bigger CWC with 14-16 teams forming a part of it.

I think he did play for NZ A within the last couple of years but that doesn't count as being a full New Zealand player.

He’s been in their setup for a while with the Firebirds and has been looked at before.

I think it depends on how you set up the tournament. In a ten team WC with a single group for instance the lower ranked sides aren’t particularly going to be motivated enough to give it their all because the barrier to qualify for the next stage is so high. A couple of losses and you already feel like you’re out.

I do have some bigger points to make but I’ll probably do so in a separate post.

Truth be told, I do not see WI qualifying from here. It is an uphill task. They should beat Oman comfortably, but Scotland and Sri Lanka will be tough.

With zero points to their credit, even if they end up beating all of their opponents in the Super Six, they have pray for Zimbabwe to either lose all/2 games and also hope the other table toppers do the same.
