I think the major reason I hate it is because Indie is quite mainstream

Your favourite band is Fall Out Boy.. Every 15 year old girl on Earth loves them. They are extremely mainstream. They were just like Panic at The Disco, but now Fall Out Boy is even more mainstream than Panic, because the teenage girls didn't like Panic At the Disco's new album. It wasn't emo rock. :p

Okay, I've listened to more AC/DC, and I'll agree that the instrumentals are excellent. Definitely Hard Rock. But for some reason I don't think it is in the same league as Iron Maiden or Dragonforce (Who, BTW, are amazing. I heard Soldiers of the Wasteland and Through the Fire and Flames, and was just amazed. Wow. Likin Park will have to fall to second place I'm afraid, these guys are great, can't wait to hear the rest of their stuff). AC/DC doesn't appeal to me as much as those guys, and I have no idea why...

You must be into metal more so than hard rock then.

The drums are great, it's the first thing I've heard which had me air-drumming instead of air-guitaring! :p And the speed is awesome, it's like the musical version of those video clips which give people epileptic seizures :p

I think Dragonforce are a decent listen, but they're not a favourite band of mine.

Yeh, BUT i've liked them since thier demo :) which was like 6 or 7 years ago. FoB's new album isn't mainstream, take a look at the rankings, people like the records they released. Such as Dance, Dance - thnks fr th mmrs - Sugar - I Don't Care.

The only way FoB get mainstream is because folk buy thier album after they've heard singles.

Plus having Pete Wentz kinda makes you immediately for-fronted in the media.

Yeah very true. Their new album is quite different.

But I mean... thnks fr th mmrs... Oh god.

That kind of writing belongs in a text message, not a song title, seriously.

To be honest, Fall out Boy are a band you either love, or absolutely hate.

But, to say a song title, out of everything, is bad? Taking it a bit far aren't you, Niv?

Jordan, to be honest, Infinity on High (Which thnks fr the mmrs is from) is undoubtably FoB's worst of the 5. I still listen to it, but in no doubt is it the best.

Jordan, do me a favour, please! And anyone who hate FoB at the moment. Go off and listen to any songs off "Take This to Your Grave." Go listen to a song called Saturday, Where is Your Boy/Grand Theft Autumn and a few others. This album is FoB at thier strongest, really pop-punky, really strong and different from the rest.

Thier new album is thier biggest change yet, its got a bit of soul in there, its got pure rock in there, and its still got a bit of punk-i-ness about it, meaning its still classic FoB.

So, yeh, please go and listen to "Take This to Your Grave"

Umm, just to clarify. Fall Out Boy basically help create Panic! At The Disco back in '05 I believe. Fall Out Boy went big like '03 with there album "Take This To Your Grave".

That kind of writing belongs in a text message, not a song title, seriously.

Well the song title was meant to convey a sense of emotion that captivates the texter in a way that their relationship seemed like it meant nothing (hence the shortened words), but in the song it indicates the obsession for her.

I know, I know. I know too much about them. But surprisingly enough, these are the types of songs that help those teenage people get through that rough stage of life.

High Five! I'll admit, I'm a sucker for these Pop Punk bands of the new generation. Checking my last.fm account, I've listened to about over 23k songs off Fall Out Boy. Don't really care if people hate them or love them...I know a lot who like - and generally seems to be the average adolescent teenager - and a lot of people who hate them - those who condemn themselves into Rap or just have there own judgmental opinions.

Take This To Your Grave is an absolutely classic album, Infinity on High is the biggest disappointment.

Panic At The Disco's "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" is also a very good album. Although most that hate FOB, hate Panic.

Panic are class, little wierded out by thier newest album, it really didn't carry on thier success of thier debut album. Brendan has an amazing voice, better than Stump's voice. So glad i've got a fellow follower of FoB, to the extent that you can talk about them religiously :p

Hah yeah. I absolutely love the first album. It is so unique to any other type of Rock I've heard. Second album I don't mind, don't really even categorise it as rock.

I really do enjoy Stumps and Uries voice. I personally enjoy Stumps more but Brendan has great vocals. Love it when they're both in the same song. Like "The Cab - One Of Those Nights", "Fall Out Boy - What a Catch" and especially "Fall Out Boy - 20 Dollar Nose Bleed".

Yeh, 20DNB and The Cab - OoTN shows exactly why they have great voices.

Another thing, It really show's that Wentz is in tune with the music scene, as he signed them up after a terrible practise session apperently.

I quite like The Acadamy Is... and have you listened to Hey Monday?

The Academy are pretty awesome as well. I enjoy their new album Fast Times at Barrington High but their old albums are really good as well.

Yeah I've listened to Hey Monday. Pretty good band as well for a female vocalist. I enjoy Homecoming and Candles. Reminds me of Paramore though.

I fall for Pop Punk pretty easy, and it seems like you do too. Lol. Seems when a person likes a band by Fueled By Ramen, they'll like it all. I would also assume you would like the bands Paramore, All-American Rejects and Boys Like Girls as a guess.

Fall Out Boy are coming to Australia next month, I think I'm going since All-American Rejects and Hey Monday are supporting. Not a big fan of teenie-bopper girls there though.

Yeh, I'm going watching them in March, i'm not a fan of the whole screaming 14 year olds either.

Yeh, Decaydance/Fueled are two awesome labels!

That was amazing! I've just recently got into Muse with a recommendation from my friend. Great song that :)

I thought some one would end up getting into that, to be honest mate, if you are getting into them, have a look at purchasing this:

Play.com (UK) : Muse - H.A.A.R.P: Live At Wembley 2007 (CD & DVD) : CD - Free Delivery

This is a CD/DVD of Muse's 2 sell out nights at Wembley Stadium in London, put it this way, I have seen the DVD's from the likes of Metallica, Foo Fighters, the lot, and this one just blows it away, it features the most popular Muse songs such as Plug In Baby, New Born, Time is running out and sing for absolution, but Matt Bellamy's performance in this is just like this . It is THE best Music DVD you will ever buy or see!

Yeah they've signed some great talents.

Guess you must listen to Hey Monday because they're supporting.
