Hey guys.
What do you guys get in your SATs
I did mine this May.
Here are my results:

English:-----Yet to arrive
Mathematics: Level 7
Science: Level 6

i got:

Maths - 8
Science - 7
English - 6

They mean nothing at all. Ignore the results.

I did mine last year, these were my results:

Maths: Level 6
Science: Level 6
English: Level 7

I've done my End of Year 10 exams too, the marking was awful with them.

My results were

Maths: 8
English: 7
Science: 7

SATS are a lie. They do not help you in any way. They just help the school in various ways.

SATs give you exam practice, decide which classes you will be in the next year and aids the school in inspections and league tables. They don't help the person who takes them at all.

eeee, twas a long time ago, but if i remember correctly, i got straigh 5's.

Oh and boys, SATs mean nothing for you :p They are for the school, to assess how they're doing mainly, so if you fail, dont worry too much :)

Exactly, its all balls. The teachers make them look like they will change our life or something.

Straight 5's :eek::eek:
Simon.....that was poor :p:p

I think he means in Year 6. As 5 was the highest you could get then.

Can someone fill me in on how SATs work (we don't have them here in Scotland!).
You sit them in year 2 (KS1), year 6? (KS2), then what?
Also which subjects do you sit at which age and how do the grade allocations work? You never know, I might decide to come teach in England some day...

I can't remember my Year 2 SATs, although, I was only 5! I remember my Year 6 ones. The other ones you sit are in Year 9. Every one is just English, Maths and Science.

Colin - You do SATS in English, Maths and Science in Year 9 (year before GCSE).

You can go from Level 3 to Level 8 (I think), dunno the percentages for each one.

And also as said they don't mean a thing for the student, schools only care about them because of league tables.

How is it to be back at school so early Colin?
