In regards to spin, I just had a match where my front line spinner took 11 wickets in a test match, no real surprise there, so I've decided to just nuke my spinners attributes and they didn't take a wicket in the first innings of the next match, but still went a reasonable economy. So if in the 2nd innings they pick up a few wickets, maybe that's just what you have to do with spinners, just make them really only as good attribute wise as part timers which is around 45-55.Playing around with my T20 sliders and had a really fun game, WI were racing away with it before Maharaj and then markram took it from them at the end . WI needed 5 from the last 2 balls , markram finally got blackwood which was a nice ring catch and then bowled a dot to end it. I wish spin was more balanced in the game on both sides of the ball but hey I had fun!
Yeh I'm extremely hesitant to reskill because I don't want to break the game but you may be right. I don't have the time or patience anymore to play longer formats so I'm narrowing in on the T20 format. I've gone a bit crazy and have expanded my fictional T20 league to 24 teams in 6 divisions consisting of a pool of 400 players. So I'm worried about reskilling all for nothingIn regards to spin, I just had a match where my front line spinner took 11 wickets in a test match, no real surprise there, so I've decided to just nuke my spinners attributes and they didn't take a wicket in the first innings of the next match, but still went a reasonable economy. Oh yeah that would be painful, I mean I'm only playing as one side, so whenever I start a new match i just rescale whatever spinner is in the side, leave the opposition spinners as quite strong because I play spin better than pace tbh, so it balances that side of it out when im battingYeh I'm extremely hesitant to reskill because I don't want to break the game but you may be right. Wow you play spin better! I can't play spin at all unless I time the reverse sweep well enough . I do have a plan in mind for reskilling based on roles in t20 such as power play bowlers, anchors, death bowlers, pinch hitters and finishers, some similar to what wasteyouryouth has talked about previously. But i don't want to clutter this thread more than I already have. Maybe I'll create a new thread!Oh yeah that would be painful, I mean I'm only playing as one side, so whenever I start a new match i just rescale whatever spinner is in the side, leave the opposition spinners as quite strong because I play spin better than pace tbh, so it balances that side of it out when im batting
Fair play, impressive effortSo, after finding my first T20 world franchise competition was too "star heavy" and the key players weren't standing out, I expanded the competition to a 24 team tournament divided into 6 leagues, the ANZSA 6, The Atlantic 6, The Asia 6 and the Arab Gulf 6. The top 2 teams in each league will head to the quarter finals.
The draft pool consisted of 400 players with each player given a price. A draft then took place with each team picking a team with a budget of 120m. Different teams had different strategies, the Manchester Mavericks went heavy on youth with Harry Brook being their marquee signing, the Sydney Sixers went for experience on shorter term deals which will result in a higher turnover of players and finally the Dubai Desert Kings went with big names and managed to sign Kohli and Ms Dhoni.
The competition starts with Melbourne hosting the ANZSA 6 where the Joburg Giants took on the Sydney Sixers. I played as Joburg and chased down a respectable 175. Warner's unbeaten 80 and Pollard coming in as the finisher with a 42* sealed the win. Tabraiz Shamsi was great with the ball taking 4 wickets including Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell and Andre Russell.
Haha thanks, some teams may be slightly unbalanced due to me not knowing every player under the sun but I feel like every team has an identity and most of the overalls seem fairly balanced. If I complete a season Im going to introduce retirements as well as progression and regression based on some kind of formula. I will also introduce "regens" to keep things interesting.Fair play, impressive effort
Sounds good, you definitely need some sort of plan/agenda/story to keep you going in these games, otherwise I think the annoying bits get to you too much and stop you playing. Since Cricket 19 I’ve been doing England 08-11 which has basically been recreating every series and tournament in that time period, along with creating every team, kit and bat.Haha thanks, some teams may be slightly unbalanced due to me not knowing every player under the sun but I feel like every team has an identity and most of the overalls seem fairly balanced. Ive also given up bowling because it's incredibly boring on the game and also I don't think ratings really matter. So now I just bat for both teams and I genuinely feel better bowlers as well as T20 specialist bowlers play to their ratings. I'm still hopeless at playing spin but once I work that out I'm pretty happy with what I've got
If you haven't already tried it, chat gpt is great for this kind of thing. You can feed basically whatever information you desire and it will throw you some good bits to add. For your play through with England it could be something similar to the strauss Peterson saga. Just something to add to to monotony of playing the games!Sounds good, you definitely need some sort of plan/agenda/story to keep you going in these games, otherwise I think the annoying bits get to you too much and stop you playing. I’ve played around 35 tests, 40 ODIs and about 30 T20s, included 2 T20 World Cups. Nothing simulated and you guessed it, every stat recorded.
I’m currently playing the 4th test of the 2010/11 Ashes series and I think once i’m done with this tour (7 ODIs & 2 T20s still to play) I’ll call it a day.
Yeah I’ve been considering something like this to enforce injuries and therefore rotation in the next thing that I do. I’ve not done anything like that this time around as I’ve been using the same line ups that played in the actual matches. Good idea though, keeps it freshIf you haven't already tried it, chat gpt is great for this kind of thing.
