Season 07 Ladder

Okay people there is some excellent news about this years ladder

I have made a special ladder calculator in excel and it will be right 100% of the time if i enter the results correctly

The ladder is based on Pura and Ford Ranger Cup ladder systems.

Every Week the One Day and First Class ladders will be updated as this system is much easier!

Lets start with the one day ladder
Match Points:
Win = 4
N/R or Tie = 2
Loss: 0
Bonus Point: 1

One bonus point will be awarded to teams that achieve a run rate 1.25 times that of the opposition, with two bonus points awarded for to teams that double their opponents run rate.

Melbourne Bitters: 5/320 (46.2 Overs)
Defeated
Downright Donkeys: 2/319 (50 Overs)

So the Melbourne bitters would get the victory of 4 points but wouldnt get a bonus point.


TEST Ladder.
Match Points:
Won Outright: 6
Won First Innings: 2
N/R or Tie: 3
Loss: 0

Eg Scores:
Melbourne Bitters: 300 and 200
Defeated
Icc Supersoakers: 250 and 236

The Melbourne bitters would get all 6 points as they won outright

The Melbourne bitters would get only 2 points because they had more on first innings but lost on second innings but won the match.

That's an outright win, why would we not get 6 points if we're working on the Pura Cup system

As Brad said, if we win we get 6 points, regardless of any innings. If the Supersoakers won the first innings and lost outright then the Bitters would still get 6 points, only the Supersoakers would get 2 points as well.
