KKR vs RCB

Ill go with KKR a balanced and more over each of them know what is expected from them. While at RCB most of the players are new and getting the combination itself is tough. So bet is perfect on KKR[DOUBLEPOST=1428742376][/DOUBLEPOST]
So why can't Sri Lankan's play in Chennai?

LOL

@SpitfiresKent - To say SL players can't play in Chennai is incorrect. There is nothing to prevent SL players from playing in Chennai. However, the SL civil war, as inevitably all wars do, has an ugly underbelly, and there have been allegations of some serious war crimes, and human rights violations by SL army during the war, against the Tamil rebels.

Now Chennai is the capital of a state in India called Tamil Nadu, and is the home of Tamil ppl. That is not to say that the ppl from Tamil Nadu were the ones directly involved in the fight in SL. Just that Tamils reside in both Tamil Nadu and SL. The Tamils in SL (and not the ones in Tamil Nadu) were fighting a civil war in SL and were subjected to (allegedly) all kinds of brutalities and human rights violations, both during the after the war.

The Tamil population of Tamil Nadu were not too pleased about how the Tamils in SL were treated, and lets just say they don't look at SL too favorably right now.

So when matches are held in Chennai, even though there is nothing barring the involvement of SL players, teams just leave out the SL players anyway.

Legally you are right.Nothing prevents them. But don't forget all the strikes and protests that occured in Tamil Nadu for letting Srilankans participate in auction.Something ugly would happen if Srilankans are to play here,so most teams intentionally keeps them out.

That was really weird from Gavaskar - gets close to Kohli, lowers his voices and asks super creepily - 'is she here' :| WTF?

I was laughing about 2 minutes after hearing Gavaskar.

-------------

KKR started as champions but just can't keep up the momentum after 10 overs 177 was less than expected as per the start. The Boys in Red performed terribly in the field and thus 12-15 more runs were given by KKR. In the RCB innings, Amazed with Kohli opening but didn't last longer, Followed by Yusuf's quick firing wickets and Gayle's slow batting I thought RCB have slipped out of the game. As ABD Started the show and Gayle came back in the game and just wanted to hi hit hit. Morkel dropped 3 catches of Gayle and it took a huge loss for KKR. After all it was a great game. Enjoyed.

Tomorrow's our game, I think we can lose the toss followed by putting into bat and scoring 175 and KXIP chasing with 15 balls to spare.

So why can't Sri Lankan's play in Chennai?

The Tamil Nadu government (Chennai is the capital city of the state of Tamil Nadu) has banned Sri Lankan players from playing in Chennai due to the historical crisis between Tamils and Sri Lanka. Tamil people in Sri Lanka were treated badly and were tortured/abused as part of the civil war (see the video "Sri Lankan killing fields" on YouTube). The people in Tamil Nadu has a massive sympathy towards the Tamil people who were/are subject to torture in Sri Lanka (the sympathy comes from the fact that we all speak the same language, Tamil. Nothing else unites because those Tamil people in Sri Lanka are still Sri Lankans and not Indians).

The TN govt's action was justified till recently while Rajapakse (former Sri Lankan president) was still in power because Rajapakse was considered the major culprit in this whole history of Sri Lanka's war against Tamils (more so the LTTE - Liberation of Tamil Tigers Eelam) in Sri Lanka. But now with Rajapakse losing power in Sri Lanka and booted out, wonder why TN govt still has this grouse against Sri Lankans. Its my home state, but this action of theirs is ridiculous IMO!
