Not sure why so many people felt the need to claim. Zhuorb should've stayed quiet, Sim should've stayed quiet and Manly wasn't really under too much pressure to claim yet.

Sim is essentially a vanilla townie if his claim is true, so there was no reason whatsoever to come out and reveal that. I also expected him to be more active if he was town. As I said earlier, the two games he was town and killed early, he still followed the game, but as mafia he mostly sat back and didn't offer much, which is how he's played until now.

I made my case against Manly already.. 3 relevant posts at that stage and all of them had elements of scum. 1 lynch placed and me being suspicious was all it took for him to crack and reveal a basically unlynchable role.

Yudi's another that I'm more than happy to gamble a lynch on. Hardly active and not worth waiting for anyway. It took him 27 hours to respond to the Day 1 write-up, and funnily enough he focused on the same line as Manly, the one that makes the mafia uncomfortable.

Sorry for not posting anything yet. The writeup has been pretty much analyzed so I won't bother writing a huge paragraph trying to analzye it as most of the points which came up on my mind have been covered.

Regarding 'They laughed at the men who trusted them and planned their deaths', just like Varun even I feel that it could be a usurper.

For now I'll go with a No Lynch too as I'm not really suspicious of anyone at the moment.

Possible Freudian slip indeed.

1. No idea what it could be. Checked on EpicMafia but there is no role which could probably have something related to a prankster.
2. Probably the cop, and he checked someone who he already knew was not guilty. Surprising!
3. We have a jailer it seems. I guess the Jailer probably targeted a PR townie.
4. The mafias failed to kill their target and this part of the writeup probably indicates that. Blocked by a roleblocker or the doc protected the target. But nothing of that sort is mentioned in the writeup. Probably the Jailer targeted the Godfather.
5. Watcher gathered some useful information it seems.

1. Really? No idea what roles could be pranksters? I listed about 5 mafia roles alone.
2. The cop checked someone he knew wasn't guilty? Doesn't make sense unless they investigated the same person twice really..
3. JK targeted a PR townie, spot on there..
4. JK targeted the Godfather? Quick turnaround..
5. Not being satisfied with the information gathered doesn't really sound useful.

Varun's claim seems legit to me as there was no pressure on him and nobody has CCed him. Nothing much to say really, I don't know how PD generally plays so it will be wrong on my part to comment on his style of play in this game.

I'm a bit disappointed from Mark/Themer. Hardly did Mark post anything and now his replacement, Themer also hasn't posted anything worthy. He has been active but hardly has he posted his views on the game. In the post just above this one, I think it's the first time he posted something relevant to the game but he just repeated what everyone have been saying.

PD being an unknown doesn't mean you can't comment on him. Don't want to give anything away perhaps? No thoughts at all on his claim or what his posts could mean? Then going after Themer for not posting much is so lol. Probably had as many posts as you by then. Too much buddying with PD going on there, not casting suspicion at each other and both going after Themer.

Heavy FOS: Manly and Yudi

Even if one or both of you are town, the lack of interest means I'm lynching one of you today. Sim's looking dodgy aswell, but you guys aren't worth keeping any longer.

Oh and as for BKB, so far he's been consistent with his usual town play. The only thing I would question is whether his figuring out the Bus Driver was a lucky guess, total red herring set up for PD to claim, or he's the mafia Stalker and investigated Andrinissac (whom PD claims to have role-switched with). I kinda doubt he'd investigate him though.

And @ User.
According to my research, Bus Driver originally started as a town role, but generally did more harm than good, so it's mostly used for mafia. The self-target thing is generally not allowed, but some mods do allow it.
Not that it's important anymore, but for Jailer it says they can target when no-lynch occurs, Jailkeeper isn't restricted.

You seem to have dismissed my earlier posts where I touched on these things, so yeah, I did look into it before I mentioned those things.

One final thing for now, maybe If Sim's claim is true, he can't be allowed to live until the final 3, or any other scenario where town outnumbers mafia by just 1. At final 3 and requiring 2 to lynch, his role only requires 1 lynch, so mafia wins.

@Sedition, your point about me being laidback when being mafia is spot-on. However, in this case, the lack of activity was more due to being not able to come online as I was busy. Now that I am free, you might find me online nearly all the time.

The thing about the final three : never thought about it and that is an interesting twist.

The reason I claimed was because usually it is not preferable for a 'vanillaish role' as you mentioned to claim, because it helps the mafia narrow down the town PRs. Here with all the town PRs supposedly outed. (If even 3 of the 4 are telling the truth, I doubt there any more such 'strong' roles), not claiming would have seemed a bit suspicious and might even have prompted a everyone-has-claimed-why-not-sim kind of post. As I see, my role-claim has done nothing to either help or harm the town, so on hindsight I think I did right by claiming.

Yudi hasn't seemed scummy but has't really contributed to the game either. So he is a potential lynch if no one else comes us. The Freudian Slip, mentioned by Seditoin and PD, is quite interesting, but if you think clearly, I very much doubt the usurper would ever be discussed in a mafia meeting.

I personally am suspicious of PD, tbh. After User2010 has attacked him, (with points both relavant and irrelavant), he seemed quite ruffled and irritated in his reply. That does contrast with his otherwise cool and humorous demeanour. Ofcouse, when I think this way, I haven't seen him play like this before, even though he has been mafia earlier too. Gut feeling : 3rd party BD. Out to prank us all. And somehow win the game. Or infact not even a BD but some other 3rd party role.

And suppose we lynch Manly and he turns out to be Beloved Princess, is it necessarily that bad? In the PC game, N1 and N2 were consecutive, and it didn't turn out that bad for town. Infact the SK there killed the mafia.

Yeah, you might be right that claiming at that stage wasn't too bad. Just a bit frustrated at being given up by Varun, not doing the same to Zhuorb, and he reveals anyway. A lot of mafia guesswork has been taken away today.

I can't help but feel there might be a Ninja kind of role too, which can perform the kill without the Watcher seeing. So in that case, it's probably best for Varun to watch anyone he feels like, rather than me as I mentioned earlier.

I thought both jailkept targets were looking dodgy and one was probably mafia. My thoughts from the write-up were that the Watcher was successful, so I wanted a claim from someone that was blocked. I didn't like him revealing me as Night 0 though, since everyone knew town PR's had targeted each other.

That's why I didn't reveal Zhuorb as my Night 0 investigation, as then all 3 were open to the mafia. As it turned out, it happened anyway

I really hope he is lying. As we probably don't have a killing role, there is a strong possibility (unless the BD does something) of 2 townie deaths.

Makes me wonder why Colin felt the need to highlight Watcher in the first write-up. And Manly saying the claim was good enough for him to clear Varun for the rest of the game.. something seems a bit dodgy.

Aargh..I just realised lynching Manly (if he is telling the truth) could be end-game. If he is town, and we skip a day phase, we could potentially lose 2 more townies, making it 3 possible mafia (anti-town?) and 4 townies. With my condition of 1 less vote required, as Sedition mentioned, the mafia could quick lynch me and win the game. Obviously this is the worst case scenario, and I don't even know if quick lynching is possible in a forum game, but just thought I would point it out. Waiting to hear from Sedition and others about it. I'll keep my lynch on, but just be careful about this.

Yeah it could turn out to be a massive mistake, but I'm past the point of caring now. It's a townie's own fault if he's so unhelpful that we lynch him. Plus I think there's a good chance that he's scum anyway

Sakes. I didn't want to have to reveal myself so early for a reason you're about to find out.

I'm an individual-aligned mime, I did a bit of research and Colin's done a bit of jiggery-pokery with my role and made it harder (probably jealous of my lynch %) and said that instead of multiple visits and role-stealing, I've got one shot. Whomever I pick, I become that side.

I was hoping to fly under the radar for as long as possible, whilst I sit and work out whom is who. (ie which side they are) For instance, we take Varun's claim of Watcher, I could visit him tonight, steal his role, watch someone myself, and become town for the rest of the game. If I pick a mafia, I become red for the rest of the game.
