India performed very good in the batting with contributions coming from almost everyone. India got a solid platform when Sachin and Dhoni build a very good 80 od runs partnership for second wicket. After Sachin, Indian batsmen builded up good short partnerships and with collective effort got India to a very good total. Dhoni was the star with brilliant 61 and Kaif and Yuvraj also contributed inn the last overs. India lost a very good opportunity of scoring 300 but still 292 is a very good total on board.

Australian bowling was clearly way off with their best bowler mcgrath going for 70 runs in his 10 overs. Lee bowled well but failed to pick any wicket. Hogg and Watson were clearly pick of the bowlers as they bowled with good control and picked wickets. Australia also struggled with their fifth bowler with Symonds and Clarke going for a lot of runs.

Now Australia has tough task in front of them with Indian bowling clearly in good form but the dew factor will surely come to aid od Aussies. A good solid start is what Australia need and then could easily chase the total in professional style. India need not be carried away with this total and has to build continuous pressure right from the start.

This is going to be a great match and stay tuned for this exciting match to continue in second inning.

The Australians got of to perfect start they wanted with Gillchrist smashing the ball in all sides of park. Gillchrist for the first time in series looked in murderous form and brutally smashed Pathan and Zaheer. Hayden was also not far behind and played couple of good shots to boundaries. India need to build up some pressure by bowling tightly otherwise Australians will chase this total with ease.

Australia 70/0 in 10 over​

The two Australians continued murdering the Indian bowlers particularly Gilchrist who made the full use of early overs restriction and too the Australian score to 70 in just 10 overs. India tried all options it had bringing on Agarkar and Harbhajan but to no success as they also got the same treatment. Right now Australia have started their chase with a bang by not showing any sort of mercy for Indian bowlers.
