Should Ireland and Kenya be given Test Status?

That's why it comes down to money and infrastructure. If you want professional sportsmen, you have to pay them enough for it to be a profession. Ideally, you make them professional before they turn up in the team. Infrastructure is all about finding those players as early as possible and delivering them as much training and experience as possible.

I do not really now how this works.But i think ICC does pay money to the associate boards.So how do these boards use the funding ? don't they pay players enuf .Even in a country like india players used to get peanuts before Sachin came onto the scene and he brought in some commercial money in the form of endorsements.Even today the payscale might not be comparable wth what aussies or english players get.So what it means is how different cricketing bodies use the funds given by the icc

Test countries are pro, associates are amateur.
 
The fact is only a few countries are good at test Cricket, and to be exact 9...
