Should Phil Taylor be knighted?

I'm with Joe on this. I had never heard of him till this thread. Then again I find darts about as interesting as watching paint dry.

Then it's definitely a sport I should play you at (along with snooker) to even things up.
Back on topic, even as someone who both plays and watches darts I reiterate: no way.

I have a bad reputation for having way too much luck at pool, so I expect it will apply to snooker as well ;) But you can probably thrash me at darts, so I need to get an extra few shots to make it fair and make us even for handicaps ;)

Credit Lee for the detective work, he browses that site, and actually posted in that thread and informed me, and I thought it was best posted here :D

LMAO!

Phil Taylor has done enough to be knighted. He's owned Darts for god knows how many years. Yeah there are good competitors like Barneveld, but Taylor is miles better. I watch Darts from time to time and Taylor is the best by a long shot.

Dont you think the Queen gives away far too many "gongs" I reckon over 50% of the English population has been given a gong for one miniscule thing or another,I read that that EVERY SINGLE member of the UK Olympic team has been awarded the MBE,and the Cyclist Hoy has been given a KNIGHTHOOD (for christs sake)for getting 3 gold medals in Beijing,...our Stephie Rice also one 3 golds and got scaresly a mention afterwards...to me the biggest laugh was in 2005 when Collinwood got a gong after England "won????" the ashes and I believe he had scored less than 20 runs.:noway:noway:noway:noway

50% is an incredible exaggeration!

Collingwood shouldn't have been given the MBE.

Why, though did you write "won????"? We won, fair and square, 2-1.

Haha well Paul Collingwood MBE absolutely dicked on your boys in the CBS and basically said fearsome tweak off you inbred convicts.

We love ya Colly. Now there's a man who deserves a knighthood.

No he shouldn't. It's freakin darts!

I guess you're forgetting a little incident I like to call "Billy Bowden giving Kasprowicz out when he wasn't out thus losing us the Old Trafford test and ultimately the series-gate."
