Sad to see him retire but then again his chances from now on in are going to be limited.

Possibly also retired so that he'd be more signable to potential counties as he's leaving Notts.

Thats shocking decision to be honest. I believe, he still has got a few years of good cricket in him, just needs a bit more of patience and ofcourse hardwork. But, with the likes of Bresnan getting into the game slowly, he is bound to lose his place in the XI (which has happened already) so can't blame him either. Move out and give space for the younger generation to take over aye? :p

Probably frustrated. I didn't think he got a fair go really. He peaked in the series here in NZ. Was really impressive. Swung the ball heaps.

I will always remember that New Zealand tour where he ripped us to shreds.

He was injured for two years after he bowled so well against New Zealand and really struggled to get back into shape.

Definitely out of frustration mate.

I cannot see any other reason why he wants to retire.
Not too old for international cricket.
Not involved in any hush-hush controversy.
Nor injury-prone and neither was a fail in the past.

What a shame. I really enjoyed watching him play. Didn't enjoy watch him take apart NZ when he was over here :p. But what a performance that was. Will be missed.

I don't understand his decision really. I thought he had a big chance of getting into the World Cup squad of England.

That's a shocking news. I really wish he would have played more of International cricket.
