Solve your computer problem with the help of experts!

Those sound like problems happening in the kernel which are basically related to the memory. Get Memtest86 and thoroughly test your memory. Search it and you will get all the info to use it, and see if it gives any errors. I would suggest the bootable disk version.

yep, as kishitiz says it is the memory. try what he says then report back here, i can help if you need it.

Many things can. There are n possibilies. I guess checking the RAM first is the easiest and the fastest, atleast it rules one thing out. :p Check it and tell us then we'll guide you further. REmember though, Memtest has to be run for like 1-2 hours at least.

btw is it normal to get a BSOD once a week, it just restarts into windows. No error. My old laptop does this alot. It runs off AC power as the battery is dead. This maybe why?

Nope. The battery should have nothing to do with BSOD's. If your laptop restarts on itself, before windows loads, press F8, to bring up the advanced menu. There is an option of - "Disable Automatic Restart" select that and press enter. If the computer crashes, this time you will be shown the BSOD, with the error code.

I suggest you do a memtest, and hard-disk test. Those are the two main components which can cause erratic behaviour.

Also, try to clean it. If you have a vacuum cleaner, try to put it near the fan, so that the internals get a cleaning.

I am having a bunch of probs with my PC right now but the main one is my PC is lagging down this is occurring now. In this case if i format it and re-install OS it will be normal again but after a few days it will start to slow down. Why is this happening ? I need help ugently, The symptoms I am experiencing are when I play any sound it gets blurred/crackled for a second or two then gets normal. This is also happening with windows startup sound. The cursor also lags for a second or two then gets back normal if I run multiple apps like FireFox and Windows Media Player.
