Didn't you get a key when you bought it? If yes, download the setup from the norton website, install and register it with your key.

Guys I have got a problem.I have Tune Up utilities 2009 and DAP.Earlier when I used to download files with DAP I used to get speeds of 150-200 kbps. But after I optimized settings using TuneUp,then the download speed shockingly went to 2-10 kbps.:eekHow do I restore the default properties again?

I have checked using AVG and Spybot and nothing has come out.

Btw,My ISP is BSNL and I have 500 C plan.

Besides, you might just have downloaded from a server that is pathetic anyways. Try re-downloading the same file from the same server which gave you those high speeds.

Mate, that was the same server which I downloaded 45 files in a span of 30 minutes. And today it took me 45 minutes just to download 4 files:eek:

Try downloading some other files.

For starters, try downloading the Open-office pack from torrents. It will push your speed to the fullest.

When you make those optimizations with TuneUp, it first asks about what connection you have. I guess you have specified a dial-up or some other lower setting than your current setup and TuneUp has adjusted like wise. Just go through the optimization process again and set the correct connection type.

And now on to my problem.

I wanted to try out Linux, so I installed Ubuntu using the Wubi installer, which installs Linux like any othe Windows application on your hard drive, no partitioning etc. I installed it on one of my Windows partitions which had enough space(5 GB). Now when I booted into Ubuntu, it wouldn't get past the login screen. I tried quite a few times but to no avail. Well then I had no option but to uninstall Linux from my system and try again. And when I did uninstall Ubuntu, the 5 Gb of space on my Windows partition was gone. It doesn't show up as free space in disk manager either. Windows shows that just 1 Gb is free on the disk, when I know it should be 5 Gb. Any idea how I can get that space back other than by formatting the partition?

Have you checked Hidden and system files? Maybe it's created a shadow of the installation..

OR..
It might have created a system restore point, which is using up a lot of space. You should delete a few Restore points.
