South Africa Team Discussion

There is a big lesson in this for the ICC and the boards around the world- Do not schedule tours during the IPL. I think if you gave players the freedom to simply go and play some high octane cricket and make a fortune out of it for a couple of months in the process learning from cricketers all over the world they won't get burnt out so quick
The reason this will never happen is because neither the cricket boards nor ICC earn anything out of IPL... Only BCCI does...

QDK might be like this

My heart says today is the last time we'll see AB wearing a SA jersey!
I wouldn't bet on that. He can't afford one "out-of-touch" series?

He seems done with the game.
If SA don't make it to the semis (which I think won't happen), the only thing I see him giving up is the captaincy. Players like him don't ever seem to be "done with the game". There's just too much passion there to do that.

If anything, he might give up on T20 (including IPL) but not ODI and Tests.

I hope you're right my friend..

I'd like to see something like this from now on.

AB doesnt know when its time to quit, as captain he is done and dusted, Faffy with gum in his mouth still a better captain. AB should continue as a player.

I don't know why is David Miller there? Although, I don't know about the domestic cricket in SA... I still haven't seen him perform greatly except one or two innings in International cricket..

He averages just under 40 in ODIs and has a strike rate of 102. He's shown vs Pakistan and England that he has the ability to play big performances and can build an innings and tee off at the end of one. Would like to give him a shot at 4. If he lives up to his talent he could quietly grow to a world class ODI player.
