Proteas Dismissed!

SA were bowled out within the second session by a flawless English team. The openers got SA off to a good start but the first wicket fell thanks to Andrew Flintoff. There was an immediate chain reaction and SA were dismissed for 196. Stephen Harmison achieved 4/35, while Kevin Pietersen impressed again, taking 28/2. In reply, England reached 180/1, with Andrew Strauss (98) and Kevin Pietersen (80)

England Rule Day 3

Andrew Strauss and Kevin Pietersen secured England's position on Day 3. Strauss made 267, while Pietersen made 124 in a brilliant stand. England eventually declared on 611/8, 415 runs ahead of the Proteas, with Read (48) and Hoggard (5) still in. South Africa reached 25/1 in reply at the end of a English day.

England Go Ahead!

An inspired bowling attack of Monty Panesar and Stephen Harmison gave England a 319 run win over the Proteas. Panesar (5/41) and Harmison (5/33) managed to tear through the Saffers for just 96. The openers started confidently, but England's field proved too much as SA crumbled.
