With so many countries discussing their domestic scenes for the first time on Planetcricket, I thought that our steadily growing group of South Africans at PC could discuss and update us all on the happenings over there. I have a slight association with the Cape Cobras, as my grandmother was born in Cape Town, and much of her family still reside there.

Cheers, I'm also cheering for the Cobras this season.

Cobras fan. My clubs overseas a couple of years ago plays for them. He was an absolute legend so I mostly support him - Henry Davids.

Here's a ladder for everyone in the SuperSport Series (FC):

Code:
Team Mat Won Lost Tied Draw Aban Pts
Eagles 7 4 1 0 2 0 86.7
Dolphins 7 3 2 0 2 0 70.08
Warriors 7 2 2 0 3 0 63.78
Cape Cobras 7 1 2 0 4 0 53
Titans 7 1 2 0 4 0 46.98
Lions 7 0 2 0 5 0 40.6

I support the warrois because HD Ackerman plays for them and Tsotsobe is quality on ICC.

All hail the Eagles! So far so good after a rather dismal season last year, went from holding all the trophies except 20/20 to none.

I guess I'll go with Nashua Titans.

Really like Steyn and Morkel, especially Morkel after what he did to England at the T20.

I hate this new format with the One Day competitions only taking place in the new year, really breaks my Christmas tradition.

Ya, I noticed that, sounded like a craphouse idea.

Dolphins all the way as they are my favourite animal. Who's the leading scorer at the moment...

And those are the top bowlers.

So far the Eagles have a 16 point lead, hopefully they'll be albe to keep it up until the end of the season and take the title.

well im a Nashua Titans supporter because my dad told me ( lol ) and i learned to love the Titans and get to know the players and support them so hopefully the titans can do some good things this season :)

Your gonna hate me Justin, but Go Jaara! Hope he can continue his fine form come April ;) His problem in England last season was getting started either when coming to the crease or when resuming after a break. If he made it past about 4 overs then he was ok.
