South African Tour of the West Indies, May-June 2010

Disappointed for Sammy. Thats 2 matches that he has brought the team from a certain defeat and given them a chance to win. Thats a quality that a good number of WI players don't have and I hope they learn from him. Once again the middle order didn't rotate the strike enough and it really cost them.
Roach, Sarwan, Miller are still out which means some call ups will have to be made. Maybe a chance for Samuels who made his return for Jamaica against USA in Florida.
I just wish they would call up Carlton Baugh and sit out Ramdin.

Game should have been won by a bigger margin. Drop by petersen gave sammy the chance to get west indies close. But well played to him, took his chance very well.

Bowling at the death and the 6th batsmen is still a worry. Rest of the side looks solid.

South Africa might win the next game too they are in good form.
After wining 2 matches in a row Smith's Squad looks confident whereas WI after loosing WC then here 2 matches, great disappointment for them.

West Indies: Chris Gayle (capt), Dwayne Bravo (vice-capt), Sulieman Benn, David Bernard, Darren Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Narsingh Deonarine, Kieron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin, Ravi Rampaul, Dale Richards, Darren Sammy, Jerome Taylor

So this is the squad for the next 2 ODIs at least. Roach, Miller and Sarwan are out with David Bernard and Darren Bravo coming in. Bravo will probably play and get to bat at 3 or 4. I am expecting Deonarine to sit out the next ODI if Shiv is fit, there is no way a bowler should be dropped to make room for another batsman.

Gayle
Richards
Shiv/Bravo
Shiv/Bravo
Dwayne Bravo
Pollard
Sammy
Ramdin+
Taylor
Benn
Rampaul

Dare this is what the XI will read:

Gayle
Richards
Shiv
Darren Bravo
Dwayne Bravo
Pollard
Sammy
Ramdin+ (Lard me wish he bat 12)
Taylor
Benn
Rampaul

This one is happening about 3 blocks from my office, sadly can't see it:mad:

We have been having heavy rains on the weekends and even some landslides, lets hope we don't have any this weekend.

Call in sick, fake a fire, do something. Just get to the match.

I too cant believe that they still got Ramdin in the team. He must have friends in high places. I honestly don't understand why Baugh isn't given a chance at least. Can it really get any worse then it already is, give the guy a chance. I don't understand how Baugh only gets 5 opportunities in tests (2 vs Australia, 2 vs England and one against South Africa) and Ramdin gets 39 tests, I cant believe its been 39 tests of fail, fail, fail.

Lol I wish, but we only got about 60,000 person on Island, and trust me faces like mine are known, next thing I get a letter suspension 2 weeks no pay, hell no, not for these guys!!!:noway:noway:D

As for Ramdin, I blame guys like Tony Cozier, when Ramdin came on the sense after a couple matches they started talking about he being a next West Indies captain, man I don't know if that is what got into his head, since then his performances has been up side down.

I reckon the windies will have to bring back Marlon Samuels pretty soon. Middle-order could do with his exeperience in all forms of the game.

West Indies Squad for third and fourth ODI's

Chris Gayle (capt), Dwayne Bravo (vice-capt), Sulieman Benn, David Bernard, Darren Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Narsingh Deonarine, Kieron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Ravi Rampaul, Dale Richards, Darren Sammy, Jerome Taylor

Injured Players for West Indies

Ok thanks for posting again, since that was already posted earlier!!!

He tore it up in Florida, hitting was very clean. Bring him in now!

He did good for a guy just playing his first real competitive match in 2 years.
The strike rate in the two 20/20s was a bit low but the wickets weren't that great as we saw.
Hopefully he gets to play in the warm up match before the first test starts.

Can any West Indian give us information on Imraan Khan? He seems really impressive at the FC level but from what I know hasn't gotten above the WI A side.
