South African Tour of the West Indies, May-June 2010

Well done Andre Fletcher...
What did he contribute to the team today? Didnt keep so what does he offer? Bring in a tweaking specialist opener for fearsome tweak sakes.

Gayle should have made a 100. He was looking in-form after a while.

Windies have no chance now after Gayle's departure.
What the fearsome tweak was fletcher doing there.

Windies is either going to lose this or we are going to see an epic from Pollard (unlikely).

I hope Ramdin got a serious busted finger, maybe then he can sit his ass down for some time!!!

With so many injuries they have to call up someone. Chanders is hurt, Roach is hurt and Ramdin now.
Too bad Tonge, Dowlin and Nash are all away with the A team.

Windies, I hope don't end this series in a whitewash for them.

Params7 added 2 Minutes and 4 Seconds later...

Given at their performance so far, Windies are playing with only 2 batsmen - Gayle and Pollard with a lottery tailender in Sammy. Their bowling has been decent.

Its the middle order thats the problem. Look at all the singles that SA got and then the singles that WI didn't get. Rotating the strike is key in any format of the game, it relieves the pressure of both batsman in the middle and the team.
Nash doesn't hit allot of boundaries but he does well to rotate the strike. Against Bangladesh A he had some good scores where he was going at run a ball and had only a few boundaries.

For there to be strike rotations, it takes two batsmen not just one and we just don't seems to get that point. Our middle order would have some teeth if we did not and keep batting Pollard so low down the order. That one is still a mystery to me, because they keep sending him in when we need 9 and 10 runs an over with no support left to bat with!!

Good performance overall from my boys. With the exception of duminy who continues to struggle, miller really should come in ahead of him. Hopefully petersen plays the next game ahead of jp.

Bowling except for tsotsobe looks good.

Great performances by Amla and Devilliers, with innings like these amla should be included for the t20s too.

SA look to be a lot more comfortable in the ODI format, much better performance by their batters. Pollard really seems wasted at 7, should be ahead of Ramdin at least.
