Deonarine should have played this match in place of younger Bravo

Deonarine had his chances and didn't do anything at all in this series.
Bravo was selected on his performances against South Africa A and Bangadesh A, of course its a big difference in bowler quality but he deserves a shot.

I can sort of understand this kind of collapse if the run rate was 7+ from the start but even now its barely above 5 and they are falling to some ridiculous shots. Like they have the go at 10+ per over.

Slight chance yet, you never know they are keeping it under run a ball

Ben's already over taken Ramdin lol

overtaken everyone except Shiv and Richards. At least he is showing some balls and putting in some effort.

Really want to hear what Gayle has to say after this ODI. Probably the same ████ he has been saying for the previous 4 matches. I'm not liking his captaincy this series at all.

I bet Windies take the 5th ODI, if SA win the next one im betting a decent amount on Windies to take the last one.

Good bowling performance from the boys. Batting wasn't good apart from ab. Still not convinced about the number 5 in the odi side. Neither jp or alviro has done anything in this series. Time for ingram or rossouw to get a chance. Miller failed today but was decent in the first two so I will stick with him.

Langeveld back in made a big difference to the bowling attack. Really happy with the attack at the moment. The second spinner is still a worry with the wc being in india but I don't see any real options for that.

imran tahir?

Tahir is not currently elligible. Just like harris hasn't really played domestic odi cricket in SA. Both have been classified as first class players. The fact that they aren't any good at batting or fielding would also count against them.

I think Chanderpaul has been struggling for form a bit, so it was an important innings in more ways than one. Hopefully him making way allows the likes of Bravo, Pollard and Sammy to bash the score up to 300, rather than sparking a collapse.

That is the first time the Windies have set 300 against a major side in three years and it was a very balanced team effort that you might say is all too rare. From Richards to Bernard, only Sammy fumbled his chance. The openers created a fast 64 run stand, then Chanderpaul played the anchor. If Dwayne Bravo could have been said to be batting with freedom, then Darren Bravo must have been taking prisoners. Pollard played a smart cameo, taking his time before unleashing a salvo of big shots. He taxed 16 off Langeveldt before the bowler landed a yorker on target, but the wicket probably saved South Africa from facing whatever ridiculous number Pollard had in mind. As it was, Bernard was enough to support Bravo to the finish. You'd hope they're not 10 or 20 short, because they could really use a win.
