South African Tour of the West Indies, May-June 2010

In fact it is the Test side he was called up for, Miller might still play the final ODI, but Shane will be in the test squad, and get into the XI as well!!
I am happy for my home boy, if he does well we could see him playing here on his home soil soon!!

That is good news. He was one of the best spinners over the past 3 years in the Caribbean.

Yo Rabs it looks like the only addition to the final ODI is Dowlin, no Shillingford.

West Indies squad: Chris Gayle (capt), Dwayne Bravo (vice-capt), Travis Dowlin, Darren Bravo, Sulieman Benn, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Darren Sammy, Kieron Pollard, Narsingh Deonarine, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Jerome Taylor, Ravi Rampaul, David Bernard, Dale Richards.

Shane is still here in Dominica, he is in the Test squad, Benn is most certainly out, the twist to it is Gibson is Bajan like Benn so am not sure if he will pull to keep him, but if he don't and Shane performs Benn might be a "former" West Indies player, he damn rude and out of place to disrespect Gayle

Dread we just had to lose these matches here and I am happy I did not go, my brother went and boy did they give Benn a hard time on the boundary, they call him lazy, useless all sorts of stuff:D.
Can you believe that them guys were out Thursday night, I have a mate at the hotel guys came in all 3:00 a.m. Friday morning.
Thursday night after 10 p.m. Shiv and his wife was at KFC, so how the hell can we win any kind of match, and Gayle saying it was worst before and they are working on that kind of behavior!!!

Somehow I'm not surprised. These guys need to realize that they are professionals and the management needs to step in and put rules in place. Whatever happened to curfews.

Darren Bravo is a bit weak on the leg side as someone mentioned earlier. Its something he will have to work on in the nets if he is to become a complete batsman. Its easy for Botha to bowl to him when he keeps backing away and trying to score in the offside.

For a guy that hits the ball so clean and clears the boundaries with ease there isn't much need for him to move around the crease. He showed it in Antigua and in some shots here today.

Man this camera guy is finding some mint chicks in the crowd. Would love to be in T&T now.

great fielding by Pollard and a good throw. Just about the only way to get rid of Amla.

Two really disappointing overs by Bravo. After bowling a great over in the previous match he gives up 23 of two overs here. Taylor is looking injured again, nobody knows how fit Roach is and Rampaul is resting an injured knee. WI bowling looks like ████ and there is no real quick bowlers, hopeless for the test matches.

If South Africa didn't have to depend on someone as scratchy as Duminy, they might have won those last two a bit easier. Of course, they could do worse, but as it was, the West Indies just couldn't produce matches where South Africa needed substantially more than just Amla, Kallis and de Villiers to be brilliant. If Duminy was under real pressure to score when he came in to bat, it would almost certainly have been more calamitous.

However, I could see that working against them in the Tests, if the Windies can find a bowler or two.
