South African Tour of the West Indies, May-June 2010

Once again Pollard is in when the top order has collapsed and 68 of 34 is required and he will go for a wild swing to try and up the run rate and he will be called a fail.

Oh dear what a terrible over from dale steyn.

Terrible umpiring that was definitely out.

Very true.. Worst Umpiring.. Atleast Batsman should have showed some respect

Why not? Just because we have a preconceived idea that anyone who scores below 6 runs an over just isn't made for ODI cricket. It's bullshit. We need solid players and less players like A Morkel who rarely scores at a higher rate than what he gives away when he bowls.

You need balance in your side. You can not have amla, prince and kallis in the same odi side. Amla's odi record speaks for it self and the same goes for kallis(plus he can bowl) so no room for prince.

You need finisher in the side and no morkel isn't the guy anymore but neither is prince. Hopefully miller fills that role. Too bad he had issues with his visa, should be in the side ahead of jp.

McClaren seems to be the guy for the 4th/5th bowling spot. Not convinced about vdm. Personally when parnell is fit again I would drop him and go with 4 pacers and one spinner.

Looking forward to the odi's and tests more than the other t20.

Geez 8 bowlers used by WI, don't think I've seen that before in a T20.
SA batting still not very consistent, the big guns are terribly out of touch.

Never heard of him, is he from zimbabwe?

Kenya, did it against Scotland.

There should have been only 6 used. Roach, Taylor, Benn, Miller, Sammy, Pollard.
4 overs for Roach, Taylor, Benn, Miller and 3 for Sammy and Pollard. The 2 overs from Bravo and Gayle probably lost the match for WI, along with the horrible middle order. This was a perfect wicket for Sammy, he was getting the most of the awkward bounce and later in the South African innings it resembled the wickets in Guyana.
Gayles captaincy during the 20/20WC and this first 20/20 wasn't really the greatest.

Terrible Gayle lost Windies another game.
Was watching the highlights, Why didn't he gave 4 overs to Sammy, No Pollard again at top of the order. Taylor too wasn't given full overs.

Ryan McLaren was something really superb. I think Windies should have won it easily.:facepalm

Gayle has to be more confident using his medium pacers on dodgy tracks. He actually has one of the more interesting bowling attacks going around. Batting is another story.

Still, South Africa's batsmen were probably a bit lucky that the bowlers had their backs after flopping 4/25 in those last four overs. They got rid of Boucher and Gibbs, but why Duminy is still there, I don't know.
