South Africa's tour of India - October/December 2015

There's only one Shiv in which any cricketing nation should fear...

Given the current situation the ICC did right by pulling umpire Pakistani umpire/commentators from the match, thereby allowing the series between SA and India to continue free from violence. However these recent events have put the WorldT20 in jeopardy while I wouldnt want to see Pakistan not being able to participate due to the possibility of anarchy in India at the same time we cant insist thy pull the T20 cup from host nation, so as it is of now its certainly a question of how the WorldT20 plays off!

There is a brighter chance of a World t20 without Pakistan in it than of India being stripped off as hosts.

These political agendas make the Indians on forums like this look bad. FFS, Wasim Akram has been trying to help Indians all along.

This is a bilateral series and I don't expect insane security but make no mistake, BCCI will amp up security levels when the world tournament takes centre stage.

I don't think Pakistan should pull out of the World T20. We have a good chance to win the tournament, so why should we waste that opportunity? It's India's responsibility to provide us security, since they're the host nation.

I don't think so that the desire of World T20 without Pakistan will be fullfilled :) Even though ICC is now a Big 3 company but World Cricket is not insane enough :) So take a chill pill guyz, Pak will be there in World T20

Pakistan will be under tight security but not India and BCCI. The Shiv Sena have warned BCCI and Mumbai Cricket Association and not Pakistan or Pakistani Umpires or Commentators. I see no fault from BCCI in this regard.

If the people on a forum are willing to poorly judge the members and all of a country, based on the actions of a few politically motivated morons, then its their baggage and not that of those being judged. Just saying !

Couldn't agree more. There are many members on this forum have gotten my respect over the years, including Indians like yourself abhijackho. Its really sad we judge an entire nation by a small bunch of protesters. Also in all fairness India belongs to Shiv Sena, probably they have some valid points.

Could we possibly move on and talk about something else? This seems to be the sort of political issue where you aren't going to change anyone's mind and any more debate would just lead to people fighting each other, so perhaps we could move on to another topic.

With the new field restrictions, I think the "keep wickets till the last 10" theory has taken a hit. And dare I say, it makes for more interesting viewing. 250-280 par scores are back instead of that ridiculous phase we had where anything below 350 was being considered below par.

oh god india really are desperate
Jadeja as the spinning all rounder, in home conditions on turning wickets is not a bad prospect at all. Plus he replaces a past-his-best Harbhajan which can only be a good thing

Surely there must be a better, younger prospect though? Going from an ancient Harbhajan to Jadeja isn't exactly a huge upgrade: and surely it would be better to try out someone slightly younger.

Based on what I've seen of him which admittedly isn't a great deal outside the Test series last year he's a worse batsman and bowler than Ashwin, yet bats above him in the order for some reason... He's decent at ODI and T20 stuff sure, but I don't think he's at all good at Test level...

He actually had a phase where he was out-bowling Ashwin (especially overseas). OFcourse that was also the phase when Ashwin's thought process was clouded due to poor instructions from the team management.

He can be quite a handful bowler in home conditions. Definitely worthy of the third spinner spot. The only issue is, ever since his shoulder injury the guy has not been the same. His bowling took a dip, and so did his fielding (he used to save a crap load of runs in the field). Ranji performance says, he might be getting back some of his mojo. Worth a try. Cant do worse than Bunny and Bhajan.
