South Africa's tour of India - October/December 2015

I didn't watch Pujara's dismissal but based on what I read on cricinfo its another one of those incutters, that sneaked in between bat and pad. I think Pujara really struggled with those in England and Australia and its another one of those that gets him here.

Dhawan's dismissal based on what I read was a great umpiring decision, and I have to say, this series has had some absolute top of the level, umpiring in really tough Umpiring conditions. With Dharamasna standing in 2 of the 3 real tests that were played, that is a proper achievement ;)

Can you tell me more about vcash ? I don't know how to use it.

Ahh! Dhawan is gone

If you see the top right corner you will see your vCash balance. Its basically what the name says, Virtual Cash (Actually I don't know for sure, but why would vCash mean anything else). Then again on the top left corner you will see a section called sportsbook. http://www.planetcricket.org/forums/sportsbook/

You can use the vCash available to bet on whatever Sportsbook event you like. The odds are given works like any normal betting odds. Like odds of 5/6 means that for every 6 vCash bet you win 5 vCash, and so on. Assuming you bet on the right outcome.[DOUBLEPOST=1449127310][/DOUBLEPOST]
Piedt is definitely impressing here. Good start after lunch!

Shoulda played in Nagpur, was his kind of pitch.

Frankly don't get bowlers who consistently bowl no balls like abbot & morkel, no reason to get that close. Its just silly, almost as silly as umpires only checking when its a wicket with countless other no balls being missed.

:yes :thumbs

I agree with you 100%

Speaking of attendances, any idea if Kochi is one of the test venues now. Kochi is a great place to have a test. The stadium will be jam packed all 3 days of the test ;)

From the crowd noise, its seems like its been the biggest crowd of the series so far.

Bangalore was by far the biggest crowd. Sadly, none of the test matches went into the weekend. The only full day`s play on the weekend was B`lore and we had a full house almost. Delhi over the weekend would see decent crowds. Mohali/Nagpur should not be a test venue as they really ruin the atmospherics. I`d rather play tests at Dharamsala during the summer than host games at Mohali/Nagpur/Ahmedabad which have empty stadia which looks even worse because these are venues with huge capacities. I hope that if the Shashank Manohar led BCCI wants to revive interest in test cricket, we must have our major test series hosted at Mumbai, B`lore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad. Assuming there are 6 tests in each home season, schedule maybe one or two tests at some of the tier two test centers which could include Vizag, Dharamsala, Indore, Nagpur etc. I have watched enough test matches hosted at Ahmedabad, Mohali and Nagpur to come to a conclusion that test cricket does`nt attract crowds there. Maybe using the tier II venues for experiments like day-night test matches would be the way to go. Test cricket in India has a large enough audience.

Contrary to what most cricket pundits say, India has more people watching tests in stadia or at least the same number as England. Its just that England has smaller grounds which fill up even with 20k people. A ground like Kolkata/Delhi/Mumbai would look empty even with 20k people. This is why the scheduling has to make sense. BCCI, being BCCI cannot be expected to do so.

One of those freak FSL dismissals for Kohli. He was looking in really good touch. SA getting some rub of the green here in the fourth test.

That was pretty silly by rohit. Gets dropped and then gives it away next ball. Amla is one relieved man.

Why is Rohit Sharma in the team? I am sure we can find a better player than him in tests.

A totally different feeling. Watching a live match for the first time with @kushari .

Camera not allowed so.

We are just behind where Tahir took the catch.
He isn't responding to us, Elgar seems a nice person, posed for some photographs.

"Tahir ...Tahir in our side " " Tahir bhai ke liye chai lao " :p

Rohit Sharma has a love affair with silly shots, that would make for one classic romantic novel. The boy who fell in love with silly shots and the evil society that wanted him to never have anything to do with silly shots ever.

Its a touching tale of how Rohit fought against society and all kinds of conventional stereotypes, and all the sacrifices he made, including a potential test career, to never let go of his one true love.

FTR India is unbeaten at Delhi but if my memory serves me right, India has fielded first in every single test during their streak. Peidt has been impressive so far and I cannot think enough how good Abbott is. As I have always mentioned Abbott should be an automatic selection for South Africa but their is refusing to let go the quota policy which is benefiting a poorer bowler Philander.
