^ I remember reading at Cricinfo that Aamir was supposedly given an option by ICC tribunal to come out clean with a confession and act as witness against Asif and Salman Butt in exchange for lighter sentence. Aamir obviously refused the offer.

Does anyone know why only Butt and Asif are having a trial, and not Aamir?

Aamir pleaded guilty I believe therefore doesn't need a trial.

I guess they have to wait till the trial is finished till they get there punishment but they don't have to attend court because they pleaded guilty (or rather more, admitted to involvement in the case).

This trial's got nothing to do with the ICC. Whatever happens here won't affect the ICC bans.
