Drinks and England well on top. South Africa will need to re-build after England bowled very tightly, giving nothing away and Broad proving too much for the top order, producing some wonderful bowling that saw some late swing causing lots of trouble. It's no comfort to see Archer coming bounding in when Broad is given a rest!

England very much on top at lunch on the first morning:

You might want to give this a try...the bracketed numbers are the ones I change each day of a test match

Speed Min - 69
Speed Max - 70
Spin Bounce - 40
Spin Flight - 50
Pace Swing - 92
Pace Revs - 20
Spin Drift - 32
Spin Revs - 15/17/22/30/35/
Pitch Friction - 24/30/35/45/50
Pitch Bounce - 42
Ball Friction - 55/50/40/35/27
Ball Bounce - 44
Force - 35 30 25

My first test trying out these difficultly values is well under way and so far so good, been changing the spin since the 4th session (so nothing up until that point) putting it up for revs and friction an extra 5 after each session. Also after 40 overs of the new ball, I’ve been reducing the swing. After 40 overs by 10 then and another 5 after each 5 overs. Currently on day 4 in my second innings, draw is looking favourite at the moment as 1st innings 342 plays 340

England have a tricky period to see out the days play exasperated by the fact that South Africa have taken the new ball with a spinner at one end! (I had adjusted the line ups and forgotten to set the 1st and 2nd bowlers properly!)

I also have South Africa bowling two spinners ar Newlands as I took the lineup over from the test series in India! :facepalm:facepalm
Just like climate change, world cricket is ever changing too. India has good pace tracks now, who knows SA might have a spinners paradise some day :lol
