Strange Dreams

I had a dream i was playing TAOC, im telling you i had real fun and i remember that the graphics werent that great(even on high).

I have been trying to train myself to control my dreams. I haven't really been working at it very hard, but I've done it a few times. Unfortunately, I always forget what I'm doing and the dream goes back into randomness after a while.

Im always falling off mountains in my dreams. Earlier I used to only see my bald manager in my dreams.

*bump*

There are 2 phases of sleep: Deep sleep & REM sleep

REM is the one that makes you dream. Your brain is mostly active at this point. Deep sleep is where you brain goes into a stand-by mode.

I heard of a rare genetic sleep disorder where people lose their Deep sleep and have REM sleep all throughout the night. Of course this causes them to wake up at night a few times (after you stop dreaming a dream of course, people usually dream more than once a night). Anyways they all died later because their brain got screwed up (never turned off) and they were effectively paralyzed.

Then there is another case where people lose their REM sleep (they can't dream). This doesn't cause any medical problems but mental ones. If you can't dream, you turn into a lunatic. Dreaming helps people make sense of life, and if you don't dream it gets you frustrated and results in severe depression.

This is just to tell you guys, Insomnia Kills!

I thought i added a post seconding that or "+1ing" it. Or was it a dream? :p

Yeah, It's common in many people. My experiences have been worse, they're genetically haunting through from my ancestors. idk.

I fall off as if i'm just 'got a pair of eyes', from out of nowhere to suddenly seeing myself hit the concrete. Then the jerk. I wake up.

Sometimes i have a strangely conversation in my dreams and again, from nowhere out of the box, I just see myself 2 seconds before hitting the floor hard. The ground's so really concrete you can even see the bumps and shadows and bugs and you name it, what ever not? :D!!

:D........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nightmare thread. :D

Still having that nightmare of being run over by military truck.

Rarely have dreams but I have had a recurring nightmare for close to 15 years now. Maybe once a month I'll have it and it is a carbon copy of the previous one.

my nightmares are usually

- Falling off a mountain
- Teeth Falling Out
- Getting hit by a bus / train / car etc.

each has its own after effects.

falling off a mountain is the worst of em. heartbeats and sweaty like i just finished a marathon ! :noway

My dreams are mental and I never remember them. So they're pretty much typical me dreams :p
