What does swine flu do to you and how long after infection until it can affect your life? I've briefly tried looking over the net for information but found nothing. It has been reported that the most influenced place in Australia has been Sydney and I know people who have already seen people with masks over their face like on television.
Can someone fill me in with the details?
From what I've heard and gathered from, it sounds like a bad flu. It's nothing to flip out over and if
you got it, you'd be fine (you would have to see a doctor though). As I said earlier, the only people it's killing have been in 3rd world conditions, have poor health to begin with, or don't seek any medical care.
However, with all that being said, it is vitally important that medical attention is sought out if you contract it. It isn't exactly harmless, but then again it isn't as harmful as many news reporters are making it out to be.
I know nothing about it, other then the symtoms and I've just been the last couple of hours vomitting, shivering and it has been to difficult to move off the couch because of strong pains in my stomach and a rapid headache. I've barely had anything to eat or drink today and what I tried to eat, I couldn't finish.
The symptoms are similar to the "normal" flu. Sore throat, cough, fever, aches, head aches, chills, ect... I did a bit of research and vomiting and diarrhea have also been listed as symptoms too.
Chances are Ben, you just have a bug and you will be fine in a day or so. If you aren't feeling
any better throughout tomorrow, I'd be going to the doctor if I were you. Better to be safe than sorry I guess.
