I wonder if new fans are enjoying these New York matches.

To an extent, the games are going down to the wire. It has certainly piqued the interest levels. I admit, as a long standing cricket fan, I wouldn't have been too pleased with the pitch here. However, the fact that almost every game is going down to the wire, thrillers, you never know what can happen makes for a winning combination IMO.

Yes, the ICC minted money, but can't take away the fact that this New York pitch has produced a lot many thrillers than the IPL, PSL put together. Again, the high scoring metrics from those games may induce a halo effect amongst hard core viewers of the game.

Litton was a goner since the CWC 2023. Bangladesh is essaying a perfect sub continental team here. The moment you give them a fiery pitch, they are going to crumble. The only silver lining seems to be the fact they've reposed a great deal of faith in Najmul Shanto.

Gary Kirsten hasn't fixed Pakistan in two matches. Time to bring back Wasim/Waqar/Misbah/Mickey delete as applicable.

They need Chandika Hathurasinghe. They lack game awareness. You can't simply amble in and bat as though you are batting in the nets. If Mohsin Naqvi says he wants to effect a surgical operation on the team, he should live up to his word and get this done at the earliest. The longer he waits, the probability of Kirsten stepping away goes up a few notches.

If the rule was there, you would expect more game awareness from the bowling side. Don't think SA would have tried to bowl such a delivery in that case. Anyway, given BD batting, would expect them to botch it up, even if someone awarded them runs.

Obviously the runs scored should have been given. Its mindboggling that they don't allow it.

Out of curiosity, what if the bowling team just appeal for LBW but there is no DRS and the umpire gives it not out? IIRC, the runs are given in this case then why not with the DRS? Its pretty much the same thing onfield.
