Teams you root for

I don't think I would quite get away with that :p

I love how I'm a history student, yet one of my course's this semester has me doing a presentation on the Bodyline series and writing an essay of my choice (Going to do either 2005 Ashes or D'Oliveira)

Pffft, heterosexual :noway

As gay as a kookaburra sitting in an old gum tree. Of course he is... he's in luuuurve :D

Sounds interesting. Could you even do it on the actual founding of the game? Over in America wasn't it many many moons ago?

What about doing it on India's recent tour of England :spy

Oh, shucks, stop it you :rolleyes :wave ;):yes

That was the best thing about Brian Lara 2005. One of the scenarios was bodyline and you got to bowl short at helmet-less Aussies with 9 fielders on the leg side. Very satisfying.

Haha, I completely forgot about that. Bring it back I say. Everyone's got a bleedin' helmet now, learn to hook :p

Only to be allowed against Australia of course.

For me, India is one, among the best countries in the world. We may not be so much advance in technology, education, living standards, richness etc, but we have some other things which the other countries don't have & these unique qualities are very much necessary for every person on earth. Our manners, way of communicating with one another, etc are one of the important components which differentiate us from others. Even though we have accepted modern means of living, improved our lifestyle, our values and beliefs still remain unchanged. A person can change his way of clothing, way of eating and living but the rich values in a person always remains unchanged because we are deeply rooted within our hearts, mind, body and soul which we receive from our Indian culture.
We treat guests as god and serves them and takes care of them . Even though we don?t have anything to eat, the guests are never left hungry and are always looked after by the members of the family. Elders and the respect for elders is a major component in Indian families Elders are the driving force for any family and hence the love and respect for elders comes from within and is not artificial. An individual takes blessings from his elders by touching their feet. All people are alike and respecting one another is ones duty. In foreign countries the relation between the boss and the employee is like a master and slave and is purely monetary whereas in Indian culture the relation between the boss and the employee is more like homely relations unlike foreign countries.
Helpful nature is another striking feature in our Indian culture. Right from our early days of childhood we are taught to help one another in need of help and distress, subsequently make this world a better place to live in.

Yes we work as Taxi drivers, in bars as bartenders, at gas stations, etc, yes we come to USA for further studies and its just because we are in search for better education and for a better status life. We are fed up seeing all this BS trolls but you know what? we are also used to it. You people might feel driving a taxi is a small job, Mark who? needs a driver and all that bull ???? but yes we dont feel it and its us who deliver you from one destination to other. You people are fried chickening lazy ass and hence USA is the most obese country with 34% people obese. 36% of scientists at Nasa are Indians but we still like to do small work like TAXI DRIVING. You know why?right now?

Wow. Why did you even reply in such detail to that guy. Those guys were looting India for 200 years and would have looted us long had it not for Hitler. Hitler also did a great favor to the Poms by becoming the evil of the world. Even after 200 years they where not able to finish us off. It has been 20 years since our economy opened and they are crying that we are talking our jobs. They come with a nice begging bowl for defence contracts and IPL contracts. The keep pointing out the aid they give us but forget they have not returned the loot (even though they are getting money from Germany for Hitlers attrocities). India has never needed UK. India was and will always be the jewel of the world. Yes there are people from our country in UK (one of the main reasons of their poverty is your looting and the other being an incompetent political system that has been left behind). But wait for another 100 years we will take over England, the mission is already complete in some cities. As shewag said we like to do things softly :lol:lol As Mr. Gujaral said UK is a 3rd rated political power that is living in the shadows of the past.

I can only assume since you have a computer that you live amongst the priviledge elite, ignoring those that you do not see. The millions that live in poverty and die of tragic diseases.

The real reason a lot of people come to England? It's called the NHS. I will assume you're about 13, and still yet to even see a small fraction of the real world.

Listen to yourself, 'those guys' were looting etc... Well, it is you at the moment that is part of the current problem, exploiting the poor for your own material gains. Is India developing? Of course it is, and at a rapid rate. Is it taking all a billion citizens with it? Of course not.

You talk about taking over? England is a country with open arms and open doors to nearly everyone, much like Rohit points out about India. It is the humanity in spite of often appalling conditions that I remember most vividly about India. Not the glorified over the top shows of wealth, not the exploitation, but the smile from the boy with nothing because you said hello. Or the family who will share their meal with you despite not having enough to feed themselves. Those are the people that make India a beautiful country, not the elite minority like yourself.

I can assure you 99% of the people in India do not understand what NHS is :lol And no I am not 13. I have been offshored to Canada to do some work... :D

Don't make your conclusions watching top gun or British media. The only news I see in British media about India is all the bad stuff. Are there poor, yes. Are they changing yes. Are they changing at a rapid rate. Most of them are. Go to India to see the difference. India does have ghettoes just like UK. But they are changing. A billion people cannot become rich in one day.

Hahaha..obviously you do not know about your own immigration policies. Nice joke.

Yes, that is the problem. You still think India is like when you left us. Yes a boy will still smile at you when you say hello but he will have something. Families who shared meals before will still share meals with you and have enough to feed themselves. What do you know about me?? I do not come from a rich home. But yes now I do earn a lot of money since India is growing.

When we think about England we think about an arrogant country which still needs a Queen. A country which thinks all Indians are starving and where people have nothing. A country which has to do as England says and be grateful that they ruled us for 200 years :facepalm It is so true :lol:lol

England is pretty much the most multi-cultural country in the world these days. Our own national identity long since lost.

How on earth have I said that? You can keep ignoring the social problems that still exist in your country, but then you ignore everything that doesn't fit into your views. Meh, hope you find it easier to sleep at night.

I didn't realise that in 5 years you had completely removed the massive slums. Err, you know, the ones I actually did some work in.... but by all means, I am sure you often go and help out :rolleyes
