Terrible pieces of sportsmanship in cricket - disgraceful Randiv

Like I said earlier if he didn't want to give Sehwag the century he could have just speared it down leg at 60mph and if the batsman somehow connects then its props to him but if the batsman didn't connect then it would have been less obvious.

Sanga is right, our board always tries to manipulate things to its advantage.:(

What did he say ?

I don't wanna drag this thread anymore but he was talking how Sehwag is changing stance and Indian side is fueling the issue and also that its big issue because India is involved.

1. Sehwag after match and in post match conference had said one thing only "sides do these things when batsman is on 99". I don't know what Sanga heard differently. You can YouTube these videos to confirm.
2. I have not seen any member of India media or BCCI talk about this issue.
3. Its Sri Lanka board that's taking actions. Go beat their head.

Sangakkara lost his temper for no reason there. Ofcourse, he is wrong.

Then you haven't been watching our news channels lately. Times Now stirred up a furore over this issue. Even forced Lorgat to come out with a statement. Just yesterday they were having a programme where all the panelists were discussing why heavy punishments should be metted out to the Sri Lankans involved and a ban should be slapped on Randiv.

IMO, all this is just unnecessary. We could have just put a fullstop to it with the Sri Lankans apologizing, and given the real reply on the cricketing field by winning this series. Probably BCCI's clout played a role in the ban. After all, they are the main financial backers of the otherwise bankrupt Sri Lankan board.

This is absolute BS, he's been banned for preventing an OPPOSITION player form scoring a ton..yes, it may be bad sportsmanship, but it was smart. What's next, let a bowler bowl you so he can get a 5fa? This is International Cricket, not under 7's..you are supposed to fight for every little victory you can get.:facepalm

^This.

As much as I hate the fact that Sehwag was wrongly denied a century, it's the bowler's wish to bowl a no-ball or a wide or a proper delivery. Is Cricket a game where the batsman directs the bowler where to bowl and he gets runs? I think not.

The apology was fine. A ban is just too much. What's next? Ask the bowler not to take a wicket because a batsman is close to a century?

It's a sad day when things have come to this.

And a 12th man
At Kandy against Sri Lanka in 2001, Mohammad Kaif glanced a leg-side delivery to the boundary to score the winning runs and left his captain, Sourav Ganguly, stranded on 98. "I am disappointed, but had he not scored, they would probably have bowled a wide," Ganguly said later.

Lol. And he is right.

TBH If some team was prolonging a done game just so some guy can get 10 runs to get his century then I would spray it wide or bowl a really short bouncer and end it.
