Cheers, Tim for the feedback. I reckon the leg flick issue was sorted in the latest file I guess unless you bowled a bit too much on the stumps or attacked the leg. I have to tell you I am a better bowler than you although wont compare my batting with you. With the ODI bowling, you will need to make sure you bowl a lot of good length stuff and also at times variying the pace. I am sure you will get better with bowling after you had bowled in few matches.Originally posted by radaga@Aug 5 2003, 06:17 AM
I attually got my first chance to test these files yesterday.
i was playing as Pakistan against the West Indies, on a hard pitch. i bowled first and West Indies made 381 all out, in reply i am 236/4.
I found it very hard to get out batsman with avergaes of over 40. They played very few nicks and made few errors, but on the other hand, batsman with averages of 10 pretty much edged every 4th ball.
The batsman also scored at a fairly fast rate. (at some stages 5-7 an over) i found this to be because of the fine leg flick shot, they played it to often and got runs down to fine leg. To solve this i had to put 2 fielders behind square but then it left me with out men in catching positions, so maybe you should tweak this and make it play drives a bit more often, or blocks?
The batting was good, with a few balls deciving me and actually bowling me out twice (cutting off the pitch). the other two outs were one caught behind in the slips and one caught (an error by me).
I will probably chase down the total but it will be intresting to see how the second innings goes.
i will report back at the end of the match
Amber, after you are finished with the first test I will either send you the updated Test cricket files or will upload it here. The patch fixes excessive leg flick shot used by CPU as well as making it easier to play leg flick shot for yorkers. I have this issue fixed in ODI files as well and will upload it later today. I will see if the issue of running two exes can be sorted, Amber.Originally posted by amber22@Aug 5 2003, 02:49 PM
I also tested your files Ravi , and CPU(SA) are 146 all out on green pitch and I am myself 150/8 on the 2nd day(1st session) with Vaughan making 52* and White 49.Till now , it has been an intrest for me to bowl or bat every ball.
Now lets see who wins the 2 match series.
Ravi is correct , tim . If you bowl too much on the leg side , the CPU is sure to playt that leg side shot.
ANd someone please solve my problem that the right hander cannot play the sweep shot (or the replaced new shot ).(HUMAN)
ANd Ravi , please try something that we do not have to run the 2 exe's again and again after every inning
Try this one Ragada, this is the latest one and should sort the leg flick issue. Attached are the latest batting and bowling files, ODI batting is made a bit tougher in this release and the leg flick is made easier to play. Again not all yorkers are supposed to be flicked, pick the right ones when batting. My suggestion is do not use this shot for the yorkers on the stumps most of the times. Also uploading updated Test cricket files which fixes the leg flick issue for CPU batting. Let me know what you guys think of this update, if ODI batting is a bit harder then I will come up with a not so tough ones.Originally posted by radaga@Aug 6 2003, 06:06 AM
you guys i wasnt bowling on the legs, thats what the problem was, if i bowled it on or just next to off stump it would flick it away on the leg side
