Test Cricket tweak

Well Ravi , I think that except radga none of us might be able to bat with these batting files which you said are much tougher.

I dont know :D

I batted with them today Ravi and i ended up making 317/5 off 50 overs and i was batting as Australia, this was a much better improvement to before where i was regullary making 370 to 400 runs.
Good Work Ravi!!!

Cheers mate, you could continue to use this for sure. Have to say I dont end up scoring 370-400 using the older ones, the newer ones probably can score up 270-280 on a hard pitch if I bat for OZs.

i batted again today and i found it a lot harder, i played as West Indies vs South Africa and the fast bowlers were just too hard to face without the cursor.
I ended up making 301/9 and at one stage i was 45/5! :o

First off, thanks for your consistent feedback mate. Still a good score there Tim, am happy its quite a challenge for even the experts like you to score. How about the bowling, I will be pleased to hear its not easy to bowl to CPU and always restrict it too. I have tried my best to get the CPU to play all around the wicket to make sure it keeps you thinking about the field set or the line to bowl. I am certain it is easy to bowl out the lesser teams though.

Yes i think it is easier to bowl out minow teams too, it might ave something to do with the averages? Because when i played a match as bangladesh i found i edged the ball a lot more then when i am batting with Australia.

I still think the CPU needs to be a bit more aggresive to my likeing because i find most of the time they make about 250/2 where in that case they have heaps of wickets in hand but they dont take any risks to make more runs, they just keep the same run rate. Where if they were about 200/2 at 40 overs and took some risks they could maybe get to 280-320.

I tested mainly the batting part till now against NZ and AUS and I am really happy to see that it is difficuly to play against Lee,Akhtar and Bond as compared to Med Fast Bowlers.

Hi Ravi,

I have finally got time to try out the new patch that you have been working on for some few weeks now.
I have downloaded the ODI setup file which I am thinking is the new patch for ODI.
Is there anything along with this I should download??
I saw that you also have uploaded the new batting and bowling patch and I am sure its more tougher than the original patch??
First I will give ODI patch a shot and see how thing goes and will use the new batting and bowling patch.

Let me know if I need anything else to download..
I will post my feedback soon
Thanks

Nah, you dont really need anything but just the ODI batting and ODI bowling listed above to try out ODIs. If you reckon the batting one I have listed above is a bit too hard use the one uploaded in the zip file.

Thats no problem Ragada, we can make the CPU a lot more aggressive in the last ten overs. I have to say I struggle to keep good teams under 280 on normal/hard/dusty pitches.

Yer i really need the oppents to be more aggresive, maybe a bit more in the middle overs too?
Would i be able to do it myself if you told me or is it real complex?

Not really its fairly easy to do, its only the test that might take quite sometime. Alter the Six variable and set it to quite high in the last few occurances to make the CPU a lot more aggressive. Also randomly increase the Six variable to higher value(preferably over 20000) in the file. The values from the start to the end is considered as overs between 1-50, there are no thumb rules to increasing the Six value although I reckon you should increase it in the middle of the file. Have I made myself clear or is it clear as mud.

yer mate i think i got ya, but it seems a bit cnfusing for me but i'll give it a shot

So to sum it all up,you've made two patches to make the gameplay harder in cricket2002.The ODI setup is for ODI's and the Test setup is for tests unless I'm mistaken. B)
