English bowlers were trying to get away through the end overs of this session. 400+ is going to be challenging for England batsmen...

We should consider bringing Devin Malcolm out of retirement... these 78mph trundlers ain't good enough

The passage where Cummins took 37 balls to get off the mark was really good Anderson unfortunate not to get a wicket today and once Cummins found his feet there wasn't enough from English bowling lineup to get a breakthrough.

The bowlers lack penetration, the batsmen too easily penetrated: England.

Intrestingly penetration is another word for being f::cked

England’s bowling line up is so toothless, very worrying sign

England I would say are under immense pressure now that Australia have close a 400 run lead and are 1 down. Likely Mark Wood will play in Perth as he is selected for the two day match. Anderson is just not effective with a Kookobura ball and Broad 's pace has decreased quite a bit since his debut. Mark Wood would provide the firepower that they need in their attack.

There were ? over both team's squads prior to the series. Aussies are answering them by providing solutions while England's ? are increasing by the minute. Close quarters even questioning the potency of Anderson/Broad in Australian conditions?

It's hard for any side to win in Australia, but a mediocre England side are making a mediocre Australia side look really good.

i doubt woakes will last the series. his bowling has been toothless and his batting was poor first test. he has been a huge disappointment.

Have seen people compare Root, Kohli, Smith and Williamson. To be very honest Kohli and Smith are on a different level all together. Root has been plain disappointment. When big occasions come Root fails and with captaincy I just think there is way too much pressure on him.

I think unfortunately this will be Cook's last test series. He just isnt in the some form and mentality that he was a year or so before. He is a fantastic play and will always be no bad feelings against him but I dont see that hunger in him or actually this English team. I voted English win but they have been nothing but disappointment. Bowling attack is toothless, batting has never been more pathetic. I think Australia won the Ashes when England lost Stokes as I think they were way too much dependent on him.

England 5 down, they need to rebuild and work to reduce that deficit. Australia just on the money. They are putting a lot of pressure on England now .
