Well brett Good story. Brett i would suggest you to use tutsi's patch. It makes the batting more fun and realistic. It is a really good patch. You should give it a try.

i am not using any patch. it's just good bowling from ENG & over confidence from AUSSIE(from me) did all the damage for aussie.

Do you actually use the six hit button? Otherwhile it's difficult to score runs. I have upgraded myself to hard level mode and I can now hit sixes. I hit sometimes also fours in the early innings in Test matches (I actually intend to hit six but there is a slight mistiming from me) and these arial hits are mostly safe, because in the midwicket and long on area there is usually no fielder standing, when a new batsman comes in.

You should really try it, otherwhile it's really difficult to score runs.

I dont think Zahid to get boundary with six hit button is a good idea because it kills all the fun of batting. Try to pick up gaps on the ground because thats what happens in real test cricket. They hardly play any lofted shots early in the inning.

I tried, but so far I made only ONE boundary along the ground. :( So actually it's not a choice; if I want runs I have to wait for bad bowling and for arial route.

And I've got to tell you. Hitting sixes isn't a joke in hard mode. You have to time really well. A bit early and you will give a catch to a fielder.
When I first time changed from medium to hard my team went out for just 90, where I instead could hit 150-250 runs in ten overs in medium mode.

So in hitting sixes, there is indeed a big risk. And that's challening enough for me.

:D I agree Zahid. I didnt wanted to offend you. I was just telling how I feel towards this game and nothing to offend you at all.

good comeback by australia (lee and gillespie in particular). interesting that you opened the bowling with tait in his debut match. i would have started with lee and then gillespie i think. still waiting for the young quick to take his first wicket though.

on the issue of batting and patches for it. i dont know why you would need the patches just to be able to score runs. i dont go over the top purely for the fact that i want to make it as realistic as possibly but im still able to post over 300 and 400 in test matches - see thread below (advertisement :p). but you just have to be patient and work the strike around and build up confidence then just hit the bad ball along the floor. as the convidence grows they seem to pick the gap a bit better.
