It's 2-2. Well it's all or nothing for the England. They have to win the next Test. A draw will mean that Australia will keep the Ashes.

And good going with this, BrettLee.

Is it GeForce 6600 or GeForce 6600GT? There is a big difference between them. I myself have Asus GeForce 6600 128 MB.

mine is Nvidia GeForce 6600 256 MB

That means no GT. And another thing: the 256 MB that are attached to 6600 series doesn't mean that they are better 128 MB. I had an extensive search for that. In simple way: the main thing why it isn't better is because the GPU isn't quick enough to make use of the 256 MB. In other way: the 128 MB is enough for the 6600 version.
The 256 MB on the 6600 is just made for commercial purpose. Because if you add 256 MB it sounds better then 128 MB.
But I think if you buy the 6800 then it's good to have 256 MB attached to it, because the GPU of that videocard makes use of it.

I don't remember where I got that information actually. Otherwhile I would have shown the link to you.

well i am an animator, i know eveything abt this, 256 mb is more & more better than 128 mb..this makes different. in the rendering when you choose hardware render, everything comes to AGP, & in games it comed to LOD. & also open GL & hardware buffer make big diff..i am playing my game with 1200 reolution in cricket 2005.(not tht desktop's resolution, but in game resolution)

You have ASUS's card mine is Nvidia this make the big diff, i am great fan of Nvidia..all the animators love Nvidia , & i have AMD 64..My card has CineFX 3.0 engine, there are lots of fetures with card(my card)..

so i guess u got wrong information..

It's good that you have knowledge about this.

But also to mention. I called to different shops, when I was about to buy it. I shared the information I had found and they said the same thing to me, which I had found the internet. That for the 6600 version the 128 MB is enough, because if you buy the 256 MB it won't make a difference because it won't use that extra memory

And the Asus has the chipset of Nvidia. Like all the other videocards (like XFX, Leadtek, MSI, Gigabyte etc.) who have the tag like 6600, 6800, etc. Like Asus GeForce 6600 128MB DDR or Gigabyte GeForce 6600 128MB. It's the same, only different brand but with the same chipset.

What is your brand by the way? It can't be Nvidia, because that's the chipset name. If you have bought a videocard, there is a brandname on the box, where the videocard was in it.

But I hope to enjoy your pictures more now, now you've got a new videocard.

Another exciting Ashes going on in PC (The real Ashes is damn exciting!). Good luck Lee. I hope England wins here too (though I wish you have your periods of dominance & good play)!

I hope its a draw because both teams deserve to not loose because they have both played some great cricket which is seen once in ages. I doubt if there had been so close and tense and exciting test series in past few years (ofcourse leaving Australia tour of India three years ago and the Kolkatta match)

Good onya Brett Lee. (the real Brett Lee is a champ)
This is an awesome post, I have read it all. Go Aussie, I hope they can win the last test!
We need someone to stick their hand up and take responsibility for batting. Keep up the solid effort m8. :happy
