I wouldn't think so. Cahill's first game back from his broken metertarsal was against Oman in which he had 20 minutes. He needs to be nutured back to fitness imo.

left_hander, I have been of the same suspicion as covvy for a long time now. Cahill NEVER plays a full game, he always plays off the bench, considering he is easily close to our best player this is very strange. Either way, I assumed Everton have agreed that if he plays off the bench, they will release him for all international fixtures

I didn't think Australia could get through after being last in the table after two matches. With a lot of goals they went through. But when I saw they draw against Japan in the quarterfinals, I already foresaw that would be last station for them. Also a big surprise was China missing out and Uzbekistan (who beat China) and Vietnam getting through. Now that Iraq is through they could face Iran in the semi-finals. Other opponent could be South-Korea.

Well, South Korea won with 4-2 on penalties against Iran and will now face Iraq. In the other semi-final Saudi-Arabia are ahead with 1-0 against Uzbekistan and will probably face Japan.

But you don't get my point. If you have been injured for a few months and haven't had any game time surely you would be heaps unfit. He needs to be nurtured back to fitness so he can give his best. Everton might be resctricting him but it is better he plays less cause he once again could pull up with another injury.
