India 72/5 at the end of Twenty overs​

India Have had a big collapse and have got themselves in a very tight situation at being at 72 for the loss of half the side. Indians started off very badly loosing wickets after wickets. They started with the opening combination og Ganguly and Utthapa to get themselves to t57 off 50 overs. Utthapa was the first to get out when he in a bid to get free charged to mashrafe mortaza and swung his bat wildly at a wide foolish delivery and only managed a thin edge to wicket keeper khaled mashud reducing India to 12/1.

Sehwag came in at number three and hoping to revive his lost touch and gain the confidence of the team management he had a great oppourtunity to get a good innings out in the middle. He was looking determined but that was that Mortaza struck again in the same over when he dismissed shewag for a golden duck. Shewag couldn't believe it , but fact reamined he was out and he soon walked back to the pavilion. Sehwag got out clean bowled when a delivery by Mashrafe mortaza angled in towards sehwag pitched around outside off stump and claimed the edge of off stump to dismiss him.India 12/2.

Next in was the Little Master Tendulkar , Indian fans were at this moment very noisy and enthusistic expecting him to fire and show his form. Tendulkar and ganguly would then struggle to get thier timing agiast a very ill paced Bangla attack. At a total of 19 runs Disaster struck when tendulkar was bowled by tapash baisya a dismissal similar to sehwag but this time the ball stayed down a bit and tendulkar expecting it to bounce more was foxed. India 19/3. At the end of ten overs India were 21/3 with Dravid and Ganguly at the crease. Ball 10.2 Ganguly dismissed!!!!,India 22/4!!!! Indian fans couldn't belive thier eyes as one by one thier heroes at home were looking like a cat among tigers Bangla.It was good delivery to ganguly , the ball came in from around off stump and cleaved the stumps before ganguly could react.

Yuvraj and Dravid then held on with the opening spell and looked extremely defensive now while dravid pounched on anything short and gave it a whack and got some runs going.Thier partnership rebulided the innings a bit and was looking like that they would take India past victory. Yuvraj in one over then edged one to the keeper when on 11 and India were now looking further down at 63/5. He edged one off the bowling of Syed Rasel. dravid and Karthik are at the crease now with Dravid looking like playing another Vintage knock.

India are in very deep trouble at 102/7 at the end of 35 overs. Indian batsmen it seems have made a resolution to throw away wickets. They have looked a lot rusty not only in thier batting but their mindset as well. They severely needed a partnership after being reduced to 72/5 by Bangladesh. The Wall Rahul Dravid was accompanying Dinesh Kaarthick. Kaarthick fell after a promising 14 runs again for a very loose shot. Bangladesh captain introduced tapash baisya agian to the bowling attack and the changed worked when dinesh karthick mistimed a drive to cover to put his team to 83/6!. Panic was set among the Indian fans and Team management , walked in Irfan Pathan.

The last recognised pair was batting for India , captain dravid was the lone man standing guard but at the other end wickets were falling like a set of cards.This was a partnership India badly needed and Bangla felt another wicket and they would smell Victory... maybe even their first super eight bearth. It happened Irfan was next to get out when even he mistimed a delivery of tapash baisya to Abdur razzaq. India 85/7!! Now at the crease are Harbhajan Singh and Captain Rahul Dravid ......Can Rahul play a magic here?

INDIA WIN BY 2 WICKETS​

India have won a thriller of a contest agaist Bangladesh by 2 wickets and have got the all important 2 points in thier group stage. There's no other better suited words for rahul dravid than Mr Dependable and The wall. In this match he truly magnified his image and has played one of his best innings. It needed a special effort from him after India were reduced to 102/7, and like every time he stood forward raised to the occasion and delivered the goods under extreme conditions. His Innings did not include the swashbuckling strokes or the fireworks which 20-20 has brought but truly personified the essence of one day 50 overs cricket.

In the begining he defended , got singles kept his head down while watching wickets fall from the other end, then he took charge and played a heroic effort got India home while himself being unbeaten on 76. He was helped by Harbhajan Singh who showed a lot charachter and determination. Harbhajan got singles without going for big shots even when he was challenged with fielders inside the 30 yards circle.
Both created a partnership of 69 runs before Harbhajan was dismissed only for Dravid to complete the formalities.
