Bangladesh have reached 30 runs for the loss of two wickets at the end of ten overs. Irfan Pathan got the Breakthrough for India when he dismissed the dangerous Shariar Nafees. Nafees mistimed a drive to a ball which Pathan pitched outside the batsmen's offstump and going away from nafees. Harbhajan took a dolly to end the innings of nafees.
Habibul Bashar was the next to come and also go as he fell short of his crease while attempting a quick run. Habibul drove a ball from good length and was late to call for the run in the mean time got himself run out at the bowler's end

Bangladesh have so far struggled to reach to 69 for the loss of half thier side at the end of half the maximum allowed overs. On 30/2 at one stage they for few moments atleast looked comfortable for 3 overs of the pacers by Sreesanth and Irfan where they managed to get around three boundaries and looked very positive. Just when Both Rajen Saleh and Opener Javed Omar looked comfortable agiast the pacers , Dravid was quick to introduce the his first jack in the form of offspinner Harbhajan Singh.

Bhajji struck with his very first over of the world cup 2007 and got dangerous looking Saleh out and also broke the partnership. Bhajji bowled a well flighted delivery on a very foolish length marginally outside off stump of Saleh to which he came forward and voila beacuse of dravid's great captaincy they had a close in fielder who took a easy bat pad catch. Bangladesh were reduced to 46/3. Bhajji diddn't want to end here and he promised wicket with every ball he bowled asking questions to each bangladeshi batsmen. He surely was getting his rhytm right today something which India would look forward to. Harbhajan struck again in his third over now when he decieved opener Javed Omar for pace and flight as the batsmen attempted a pull and mistimed it completely . The ball went high up in the air only to be pouched by fellow leg spinner Anil Kumble.
As both the spinners now were bowling in tandem and both looking dangerous it was manadatory for the Bangladeshi batsman to stay at the crase and make sure they play oput the 50 overs.
Bangaldesh in Trouble
Anil Kumble who was bowling form the same unlucky end as Sreesanth finally got rewarded for his magical bowling when he bowled a quicker one directed at Farhad Reza's leg stump which he could'nt keep out and lost his three stumps while attemping to work the ball away. Bangladesh were now reduced to 68/5. India are looking strong whith both harbhajan and kumble bowling well but Bangladesh will have to preserve wickets and play out the fifty overs by which India's fifth bowler which maybe Tendulkar or Sehwag or Yuvraj will be exposed . It will be intresting to see who will bowl as the fifth bowler, how effective he will be and when will he bowl.

Bangladesh after being 69\5 at one stage looked extremely stubborn and determined something which is extremely uncharachteristic of them. Indian continued with Anil and Harbhajan with the hope of wrapping up the innings quickly. A aggresive field was set up by Indians but that did not bother the two bangladeshi batsmen at the crease who fought hard and got used to the conditions of the pitch. They hung around and played some very decent strokes and picked up singles and rotated the strike whenever they can which frustrated the Indians. Then came a over when the most impressive bowler Bhajji was driven for two fours off his eighth over one each by the right hander and the left hander. By this time Anil was alos not looking dangerous. Indian captain rahul dravid then thought about a bowling change from Harbhajan's end , Sehwag could have been the possible replacement but that would mean another off spinner which may become monotonous for the already set batsmen , he could not risk yuvraj because of the back spasm injury which had occured to yuvraj before the world cup therefore he decided upon Tendulkar to bowl. A hesitant looking dravid then went back to his cover position.

Tendulkar and anil then continued to bowl , and the batsmen rotated the strike and got some occasional boundaries to keep the up with the scoreboard.Anil finished his quota of ten overs , looking a bit tired he was placed at deep backward point considering his weak arm and fatigue. Harbhajan would replace Kumble and with the very first over get the prized wicket of saqibul hussain. Harbhajan set the batsmen very cleverly when all the four deliveries of the over were bowled with a flatter trajectory and the wicket taking ball was flighted whereby the batsmen was decived and gave a very easy catch at cover. Saquibul hussain played a impressive innings of 35 runs and sharing a crucial partnership of 46 runs with wicket keeper Khaled Mashud. Bangladesh are now placed at 126/6 at the end of fourty overs.
Some ressistance but India still comfortable! Suprised that Anil is not that effective but great job by Bhaji! Also there's no need of risk by Dravid to attempt Sehwag & Yuvi as India going very well... Its time for the frontline bowlers to strike now

Banglasdesh have posted a total of 155 at the end of fifty overs. A total at the end of fifty overs may not seem to great to beat the in form Indian batting line up , but with the injuries to key players mohammed Rafique , Ashraful and Aftab Ahmed it was a decent effort by them. After being reduced for 126/6 at the end of 40 overs, India made a bowling change to get Sreesanth back into the attack after a era of slow spin bowling. Sreesanth struck with his very first over dismissing the gutsy wicketkeeper Khaled Mashud. He bowled a delivery just outside off stump and a attempted drive from the batsmen was mistimed and held comfortably at cover.Khaled mashud getting out for a gutsy innings of 24 runs. Sreesanth struck again with in the same over to dismiss the batsmen at the other end Tapash Baisya.
Bangladesh were now reduced from126/6 to 127/8.
Sachin continued from the other end. The bangla tail wagged a bit mistiming some boundaries and taking some singles off all types of edges. At the end Sreesanth took another wicket when mashrafe mortaza tired to hoick him over the top and was caught at mid off. Finally the scoreboard stands at 155/9.
It should be a easy win for the indians here with 156 runs to get from 50 overs at a required run rate of 3.12 runs per over. It should also be intresting to see the batting order for the Indians.
