Harsha Bhogle: Welcome back to to our special show called special expert with Sunil Gavaskar and Sanjay Manjerakar. Hope you enjoyed our Master Blaster Package. Now leaving Hayden only Brad Hodge impresses in bits and pieces what happened to the aussie line up today?

Sanjay Manjerakar: I don't think there is a need to press the panic button at the moment and say that Australia are looking vulnerable , I'ts just that some lost wickets beacuse of the nature of the pitch while some i would say gave away thier wickets especially Hayden , there was no need to play that shot at that moment when you know there is a fielder around in the deep. I think Clarke and Hussey should have played a major supporting role when hayden was towing around with the bowling , perhaps maybe it's juss that all three lost wickets in the most unwanted time.

Harsha Bhogle:Well anyways a great innings by hayden there wasn't it , just to show you some of his scoring areas here is the Wagon wheel

Sunil Gavaskar:Well as you can see he has played shots all around the ground and has really shown great promise for the rest of the tournament. It is charachterised by mainly drives and one huge six.

Harsha Bhogle:Certainly the Aussies did not help themselves by throwing wickets at important times... Right lets just look at the fall of wickets one by one in our next segment "The Wickets Package"

Harsha Bhogle: So that was the wicket package, now 327 to win what will be in the minds of scottish players?

Sunil Gavaskar: I think they would just be thinking of surviving the 50 overs and geeting good practise agaist quality oppositon. A word of advice for them would be foget 327 and remember 50

Harsha Bhogle: It's a number's game isn't it! What will be the australians planning with the ball not swinging much.

Sanjay Manjerakar:Well they would be thinking to wrap up the game as soon as possible as far as i am concerned although they will surely want to give every bowler a fair chance.

The Last Talk​

Harsha Bhogle: Welcome all our viewers to our special post match show called "The Last Talk" along with me your host Harsha Bhogle and along with me our experts Suniel Gavaskar, Geoffery Boycott and Ravi Shastri. So a great win for the aussies here with a whopping 198 run defeat over minnows Scotland in this opening match. Australia won the toss today and on a pitch which seemed to be on a slower side managed to post a total of 326/9 and in reply Scotland were restricted to 128/7. It wasn't that a dminating a win as the scoreline would suggest ?

Ravi Shastri: Well for me a win is a win and what matters in the end is numbers and the numbers say that Australia have convincingly beaten Scotland. I know they should have got a better score but in terms of the nature of the pitch i would say that is also a good score.

Geoffery Boycott: I personally think this is average performance by the aussies something that reflects the hangover of the loss of tri-series to england just before the world cup. The position that they got into at one stage where they were 170 odd for the loss of two wickets made me expext a 400 like total which they did not get , Moreover they coudn't even dismiss the Scotland batsmen all out which i think will be a worrying factor for the aussies.

Harsha Bhogle: Well surely by the way hayden was playing he promised quite a bit more from himself but just played that bad shot at a crucial point.

Suniel Gavaskar:The way hayden played was a class to watch and yeah i agree that... hayden did get out himself and thew his wicket at the most important of times , i think had he stayed atleast till the 45th over Australian total and Hayden would have benefited more.

Harsha Bhogle: We saw him playing all those beautifull shots , notthing special innings about the scotland innings so our Master Blaster of the day remains Hayden. Will australia be fuming about not dismissing the Scottish BAtsmen all through?

Ravi Shastri: Yeah they would be at some point of time you saw something missing in thier bowling which was heartening to see althought i must say i am very impressed with the exploits of Dan Cullen who boweld very superbly showed all thye qualities required in the making of a good prospective spinner , exciting talent to watch out for.

Harsha Bhogle: Very correct there but we will continue this discussion after the break where we will also have the Wickets package

Ravi Shastri: I think it is too early to comment on him just let him play atleast some matches agaist the big teams , try him out in the longer version of the game , under pressure situations then we could be in a better position to comment on him.

Geoffery Boycott:Exactly we need to see more of him before we can jude , today he looked good , composed as well as consistent , would surely want to watch out more of him in India.

Harsha Bhogle: What changes shall we expext from Australia in thier next match agaist Netherlands?

Sunil Gavaskar: Well they might just bring back some key players rested and other than that i think Haddin deserves another chace with the bat.
