Lions VS Vipers

Good evening, Welcome, Namaskar, Namaste, Adab, and etc everybody to this extremely boring CCPC match between the Lightning Lions and the Venomous Vipers. The match is to be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata- under flood-lights. It's a T-20 game, and although the CCPC teams are noted for their boring displays in T-20 matches, there is a slight chance of this match being an exception.

It's a dry pitch, and the weather is really humid. But the good thing is that the sky is quite clear and the stadium is jam-packed with an extremely enthusiastic crowd. Now don't you think that they are here for watching this match. Actually they are here for tip practice ie, for targetting and throwing things at the players who would make this game boring. They want an exciting, nail-biting game. One loose ball, one boring delivery- and *bang*- a stone/bottle hits your head. That's why I think that this game will be exciting. :cool: None of us have the courage to disobey the Eden crowd as we all know what might happen to us if we don't follow their orders.....

The Vipers won the toss and they decided to field first. Let's see how our batters fair. Remember, one boring shot and........you're past.

Although we didn't play like lightning- we started off well. Our openers were solid, and both of them were able to score fifty. There was just one over-boundary, but to compensate this there were plenty of superb fours. KX, Kieron, 20/20 Pro- all three of them were just fantastic. The Viper bowlers did a good job and were able to restrict us within 140. We could manage just 133 for the loss of one wicket. Amongst the various Viper bowlers, WC was wonderful. Two maidens in a T-20 match is like winning 10 million dollars! Others were not bad as well. The only wicket which fell was taken by Funky.
The Eden crowd didn't bother us much during this innings. Just that were continuously throwing stones at World Champions. As if he was some bulls-eye or something! God knows why! Poor guy! Maybe that was because the Eden crowd hates fat cricketers- and WC is................ Anyway, their tip was so bad, that not a single could hit him. Still, he looked very angry.

So, what will happen now? Will the Vipers be able to chase the total? Or will we destroy them? Stay tuned. I'll be back soon. Till then..just pray and hope. Bye!
