Lions VS Vipers

Hello everybody. I'm back. And the Viper innings has begun. The openers of the most boring team ever are out in the field, and let's see how they fair....

They started well. In fact very well. And soon reached 38 with the loss of no wicket. And with 96 to win from 14 overs, it seems that the Lions have slightly gone to the backfoot- but it's cricket, and you never know..........

You never know what can happen in cricket. The Lions soon came back and gave the Vipers a big blow by picking up 3 crucial wickets. Now we are very match back in the game, 42 balls- 56 runs- the game is on fire, and I can feel the heat.

The Lions are back, baby. :happy The Vipers are yet to reach 100, and with four wickets down and the asking rate rising each over, looks like LL win laugh the last laugh. But again, it's cricket......

Now the Vipers are back. What a game, 12 from 12!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Anyone can win now- anyone. O God! Just what a game!

The Eden crowd is silent. The whole stadium is silent. The whole Kolkata is silent. What will happen?! O what will happen! 8 from six!! I've bitten off all my nails, O God! And what's more imp, I'm going to bowl the last over! Everything depends upon me, everything, our skipper is full of hopes, so am I, let's see now, one two three, my first ball..here it comes....God, what will happen!:upray

Lions vs Vipers

Now, here it comes. Last over- first ball. Bowler- KC, batter- Bladescape. 8 to win. 7 to draw. First ball- ball hits the ground, Baldescape hits- NO he doesn't, HE DUCKS, IT'S A DOT. It's a dot!! Tension rising, pressure rising. A news is coming that 10 heart patients have died of heart-failure whilst watching this match! Ashwiin will soon be summoned to the court! Anyway, second ball, and----- ..AGAIN A DOT! Bladescape is really struggling! And now as it stands- 4 balls, 8 runs, still very much possible- two boundaries and the game's over. Suddenly the LL skipper rushes to me, some encouraging words, a pat in the shoulder-and I'm all set for the third ball. Third ball- Bladescape hits- he RUNS, BS running desperately, Kieron has the ball, he THROWS, and Bladescape is........o ****! THE BALL MISSES THE STUMPS! Bladescape takes a single- now Shalin_hitter at the striker's end! 3 balls, 7 runs. The LL dugout is silent, so is the VV dugout- everyone waiting! Who will win? KC or Shalin! The fourth ball- I release the ball- hits the ground- and Shalin hits, it's running to the boundary- NO it isn't- KX has got the ball, TERRIFIC FIELDING BY KX, TERRIFIC, HE HAS SAVED A CERTAIN BOUNDARY, he throws, meanwhile Shalin TAKES two runs! Now it stands- 2 balls, 5 runs!! The fifth ball, it's a tricky yorker- AND SHALIN FAILS TO CLEAR IT, it's AGAIN A DOT, Shalin throws his bat to the ground in desperation !!!!Oh yeah!!!! We have nearly won the game!!!! Now it's just a matter of one ball, but still VV can win, if they hit a six! The LL captain again catches up with me, again some encouraging word, and he goes back to his position. One.........two.......three...the last ball, HERE IT COMES,...I RELEASE THE BALL....and SHALIN HITS IT, he starts running, Cricketman has the ball, THROWS IT, and........

....................YESSSS! It's just a single!!! :banana2 It's just a single!!! LL HAS WON THIS TERRIRFIC GAME!! :banana2 THE EDEN CROWD IS AT THEIR FEET, THE LL PLAYERS ARE SHOUTING LIKE LUNATICS!!! We are happy, we are cheering, we are shouting- O yes we are!!! :banana2 WE have won by 3 runs!! The VV dugout is silent! The VV fans are silent! Oh yeah! The Lions have won! The Lions are the KING OF T-20'S!!! Long live the Lions!!! :hpraise

All the Viper batsmen made some contribution. But they failed to make any good partnerships and that's what cost them the game. Ashwin and WC tried their best, but that went in vain. It was just not their day[/SIZE]

Our bowlers did a great job. Each one of them. And Holdy was outstanding! They didn't let any big partnership to take place, and were just awesome.

So, the Lions have won this match. A perfect all-round performance by our team. Also terrific captaincy by our skipper. And right bowling changes at the right time....now I'm heading towards our dressing room, for celebrations......bye for now! :cool: See ya next time! Ta ta!

Vipers vs Wolvies

Good evening, and welcome everybody to this boring night match between the two most ordinary teams of CCPC- the Wolvies and the Vipers. It's an ODI game, and it will be played at Sharjah. The pitch looks good, and it has something for both the batsmen and bowlers. The sky is pretty clear, with no clouds. The temperature is also pleasant and is not that hot as I expected it to be.

The Wolvies won the toss, and they decided to bowl first. Weird decision, maybe they are still not sure about the pitch- you never know, it's a Sharjah wicket.

The Vipy openers started very slowly. And could make just 49 runs in 15 overs. Don't know why they are playing this defensively..

Well, it was a part of their strategy, they changed their style of play after 20 ovrs and started batting aggresively. Initially, with some huge slog over hittings, they posted a total of 257. Not bad I must say. A challenging score. A real challenging score, specially in a Sharjah wicket. Gazelle and Ashwin were just terrific although they were a bit slow. So was Gorilla. Played like a real King Kong. Bladescape's quickfire 22 coming at no 8 also had immense value. It was only because of his and Funky's hittings during the slog overs that the Vipys could cross the 250 mark. Almost all the Wolvy bowlers were economical. Cricketplayer was the most successful in terms of wickets. Others were also superb. The only unlucky guy was World Champions! I feel for him. crying Poor lad! He at least tried to bat today, but bad luck - he was again dismissed for a low score. Still if you ask me I'll say that this is a great achievement as well. Exactly who has heard of a 450 kg player scoring 15 in a cricket match? Well, anyway, he was looking all set to score something huge. All blame goes to khalek. It was khalek's over and suddenly khalek went up to him and sledged WC by calling him a "skinny" dude. And you know what fat guys are like..., hearing this he said nothing but just stood there in his place and started crying. If only you heard that cry ....my GOD! It was like three thousand demons all shouting together!!!!! People blame mikes and everything for making sound pollution, mikes, huh ,: who needs a mike when you have WC? And what's the most tragic part, in the very next ball he gave away his wicket to khalek. Actually he was so busy crying that he didn't see the ball and it was a "HOWZAT". Everybody was relieved when he went back to the pavillion. Had he stayed there for a bit long, all of us would have gone deaf....what a cry he cried!!! Well, don't forget he's a 450 kg

Hmm... a decent total. We'll have to see if we can chase it down. I was far too expensive though, I'll need to improve for future matches to keep my place in the One Day line-up .
